The media could not be loaded. WHAT A COOL IDEA!!! These are Fantastic! Not only are they inventive, but they're also supremely space saving!! They're very intuitive to figure out, though directions are provided. One thing to note- make sure the gray buttons are facing FORWARD when you go to close up the housing. It will not close if they are not facing outward. The extra weights effortlessly slide on to the ends. Simply remove the cap ends, add desired weights and then cap off with the end cap weight plate. Per the instructions (I've converted into lb's)- Each dumbbell adjustment block weighs 0.25kg (0.551156 lbs). That's the SMALL SQUARES you add on "A single weight is 2.5kg" (5.51156 lbs). That's a handle with TWO WEIGHT SQUARES added on each end PLUS the end cap weight square.(SEE PIC OF EVEN SET UP (each one is the 5.5lbs). Two weights (one for each hand- are 5kg (11.0231 lbs). THAT'S BOTH HAND WEIGHTS with three squares on each side. (See Pic). The ONLY negative I can speak to is that the lever to open the housing that turns this into a kettleball, doesn't unlatch very easy as you press that and it doesn't quite pop open or separate, and there's not really a piece to grab on the other side, so it makes it a bit awkward to open. It isn't a deal breaker or huge deal, I just would like to offer that design feedback so they'll consider adding something on the other side to allow an easy grip to pull apart better. When no weighs are in, you can easily separate as there's the relief space the dumbbells go into when they are not in. (See Pic with open unit and my thumb inside). I'm excited to try this bad-boy out and get an at home workout! The green color is very calming and pretty. Funny- in doing Mt review video I realized it matches my current nail color haha! Lastly, the bottom has some padding to keep your floors safe, so that's a thoughtful addition! These feel good in the hands, comfortable and don't hurt my hands. They don't have a grip to them but the shape helps. I typically wear workout gloves so won't bother me. The weights slid on and off very smoothly and they are easy to switch out. Everything is smooth, no sharp edges. The quality over all is excellent. Read more
This thing is pretty cool. I didn't realize just how easy it would be to change out the weights and switch it around. My two daughters love this and think it's fun to be able to workout with Mom using her equipment. We all like the cute green color it came in and feel the little pop of color is nice. Even my 4 year old can adjust the dumbbell weight by simply pressing two buttons and sliding the weight on or off. I like the design to where you can use this as free weight dumbbells that are easily adjustable, or even a kettlebell. This looks to be pretty sturdy and is even made with durable cast iron with a anti slip grip and smooth abs casing that's meant to last. Plus on the kettlebell converter it has a non slip bottom pad. So far the cons I see are only with the kettlebell converter. It is extra wide when used as a kettlebell, so my girls have to have it turned sideways to use for kettlebell swings between their legs, and it tends to briefly rock back and forth when they first set it down. No issues so far of it falling over, I think the pad on the bottom is doing it's job preventing that. Now, the fact that my 4 year old has a hard time opening the kettlebell converter to switch to and from dumbbells to kettlebell might not be such a bad thing. At around 12.1 pounds, 5.5kg for the heaviest and 1 kg for the lightest this is pretty versatile for how you can set it up. Definitely ideal for my kids and me to be able to workout together switching back and forth easily with next to no time to do so. The dumbbells are 1kg each, the converter is .5 kg, and each dumbbell plate is .25kg or .5 kg for the pair. I will be continuing to use this with my kids. Overall, if you are looking for a good way to include your kids and foster a love for being healthy and working out as a family this makes it possible. Read more
These are such a cute and practical addition to my weight collection! Instead of having 3 or 4 different sets of small weights this covers several in one! I put them on a digital person scale and it struggled to register anything, but I think I got about 5.5lb each which is pretty on cue with the 11lb total as advertised. The instructions give you the info in kg but it's not a big deal to me. The weights slide on and off very easily when you push the buttons in making it easily to quickly transition during your workouts. I do have a small weight rack that all of my dumbbells go on and these don't fit too perfectly I believe because of the rounded contour from the hand area tot he weights, but it sits on it well enough to stay in place. I also love that it's pink! The plastic material of the weights is a satin/matte finish and the grip feels good for my girly hands. For their minimal weight, they feel just fine. I guess my personal downside is the price. They are kind of high in my opinion, or at least cost more than I would prefer to pay, but I understand weights can be costly, and then to add a specialty style to them does add up. It really just comes down to specific budgets and needs, so I won't knock them in rating for this. Read more
I was honestly surprised by how much I’ve been using this set. I originally got it for light workouts at home, but it’s actually really versatile. I’ve used it for quick morning arm workouts, and even brought it into my living room while watching TV just to get movement in. The adjustable feature is convenient, but I will say it’s not something you want to constantly switch mid-workout it takes a little time to adjust. Also, 11 lbs total isn’t super heavy, so this is definitely better for beginners or toning rather than serious strength training. That said, for small-space workouts and consistency, it’s been great. I would recommend for beginners or anyone trying to stay active at home without bulky equipment. Read more
