Before purchasing you should check all the compatible models to make sure this Kiosk will accommodate your particular model. The first thing I like about this product is that it has a thorough 10-page well-illustrated instruction manual that covers assembly, and installation. So, with that included it would be very difficult to mess this up. There are 15 parts provided with the Kiosk to facilitate assembly and installation. There are also instructions for variations in installing (such as mounting on a wooden countertop or mounting on a concrete or solid masonry countertop). Of course both variations of mounting will require some drilling which YOU MUST SUPPLY! (drill NOT included). AND, you'll need a Phillips-head screwdriver (NOT INCLUDED)! The very LAST PAGE of the instruction manual shows a list of compatible devices for your Kiosk. This is probably one of the most important pages of the instruction booklet. This Kiosk is a great POS (point-of-sale) device to hold your iPad or Galaxy Tab to prevent theft. This is a security tablet stand with lock and key enclosures to deter tampering in busy spaces. It has pre-drilled holes so it can be securely mounted to your countertop. So, this is ideal for small retailers, POS checkouts, and front-desk sign-in stations. Made of strong heavy-duty metal, once mounted, it conveniently rotates, 360 degrees; and has a 75-degree tilt, so either you, or your customers can adjust it for comfort, while it remains securely enclosed and bolted to the counter-top. Once you complete your installation, you will have Heavy-Duty metal stability for your Kiosk. FINALLY, although I did not personally test it myself, I do believe that this Kiosk is designed to work either in portrait OR landscape orientation. It took me awhile to fully utilize this unit since I didn’t realize my iPad was too old, but I am happy to finally upgrade. Now that I’ve installed a proper device I must say I’m highly impressed with the fit and appearance. Installation was dead easy. My iPad feels like something worth far more than its normal state, the frame is heavy and solidly built; it feels like a permanent fixture and it means to do business. I’ve used this item for an information kiosk, for demonstration of gaming and entertainment, and more recently as a point of sale solution. This Kiosk stand is impressive. It is sturdy, well-designed and functions as described. The finish is without flaws, the fit for an iPad is perfect and leaves the camera uncovered. The holes are well-placed for the charging cable or a cable for a POS tap/swipe device. The stand is very solid and is secure once attached to a surface. The adjustability is also spot-on--no issues with landscape or portrait mode, with both orientations allowing significant cant/tilt. Considering the asking price is under $70, this is perfect for small businesses or small operations testing the water for kiosk points-of-sale. The only downside is the stand is very plain and nondescript--minimalism is good, but this has no texture or design details at all. For many buyers, that can also be an extremely good thing. The finish appears to be easy to white label with a laser engraver or vinyl decals. The locking mechanism is functional and secures the enclosure, however, it is a cam lock...the keys are universal and not unique.
