I bought this at the request of my mom who lives with me. We are coffee drinkers and we have one whole kitchen counter designated to our coffee bar area. We used to keep two different placemats one under our coffee pot and another one on the side with our sugars and other canisters, coffee supplies, etc. often miss matching or not coordinating or not large enough. She came across this mat. We chose the largest in size it is soft. It is cushiony. It has enough space to fit a large coffee maker and other supplies that you would use in your coffee bar. They say it’s somewhat water resistant spill resistant. I haven’t experienced that yet. It wipes nicely with a sponge or a paper towel that is damp. the color is beautiful. The size is great.
