“In detail Mechanic Review with pictures/tests”
I just got them today, I have tested each and every item then compared them to the original Microsoft items. I’m using a brand new Elite Series 2 Controller, only a day old with a new Master Chief Shell. I’m a mechanic so this will be a strong reliable Review and also a long detail one with pictures! So this could be your one stop review and not have to hustle through a bunch! -As far as the green thumbsticks go, they could be greener, they’re almost like a Taninsh green but when on the controller with the master chief controller shell it makes them look almost identical! I will have a *picture* below. -The quality is by far the best I’ve seen with and from a 3rd party vendor to the licensed manufacturer Microsoft. -They are very well made, as far as the Paddles go, they are darker then the factory ones which I do like, instead of a dark grey (MS) these are a light black color. The Magnetics being compared from factory to aftermarket are a little weaker then the factory ones. What I mean by weaker is NOT BAD, they are more than solid enough magnets so that’s no issue. I have a *picture* below showing the factory paddle (Left) and the aftermarket (right) you can see how the parts look exactly alike to the last detail, just darker and a lighter magnet strength but more then strong enough to stay on! Feels the same as the original ones when pressing the paddles. I also have a *picture* of the factory (left) and the aftermarket (right) on the controller itself. You can see what I mean how the aftermarket is darker. -Moving on to the thumbsticks these snap on no problem and the magnets are about as strong as the factory, they are tight and don’t move, so they become part of the actual joystick. Nothings worse then having a thumbstick that doesn’t fit perfectly Same thing with detail, they look extremely alike (besides the color green and instead of the factory black). I will have *picture* below showing the bottom of the thumbsticks, again almost identical in detail to factory! -The Rubber is a little tougher then the factory meaning they are a little less soft then the other ones WHICH Might be a good thing and last longer then the originals. I won’t know until I start using them! The factory ones lasted me two years, they still have some grip left on the joysticks but not much. So I am hoping this aftermarket not only feels a little harder then softer rubber but is harder because the rubber willl last longer? Or the harder rubber is cheaper rubber? I will *UPDATE* this in 2 months “IF” the rubber is indeed cheaper and thins out quicker! -The D-Pad parts are identical to the last detail compared to the factory ones. Besides the different color. As far as the color goes it does match the factory master chief design! Just the thumbsticks could be more green. -All and all these again are the best aftermarket parts I’ve ever seen. All I’m worried about is if the harder rubber isn’t cheap it’s just good quality and going to last longer instead of thinning out like the factory ones, but again the factory ones did last exactly 2 years with and still has about 30% of some grip left!
