Great sport tape. 3M makes a good product. The price was perfect on Amazon.com. I use rolls throughout the year on my athletes. It sticks well and is sturdy. It seems to work well on most surfaces. I also use it to mark the tartan track when needed. I recommend this product. Read more
If you are doing lifts that you wrap your thumb for, these work well in protecting it. They leave a little more adhesive residue behind than other brands, but that doesn't really bother me. I split the roll to leave a rough edge down the middle, this makes tearing the tape easier. Read more
The properties of this tape make it an inferior option for finger-taping for grappling, but an option none-the-less. - As you train, the tape will stretch and the compression will loosen. I've noticed this over the course of one 90 minute class/roll session. By the end of a second class, it is basically doing nothing. That said, it's cheap; you can re-tape during rest rounds or between classes. - It can be hard to tear cleanly without two hands, so if you're taping your own finger, it can take a few attempts of slightly mangling the tape. That said, you get better at tearing it (make sure you're not pulling it taught as you're trying to tear it), and if all else fails, you can honestly just pull it hard enough and it'll snap. - I have hairy fingers, and it can sting pretty bad taking the tape off at the end of training. - It doesn't react great to getting fully saturated with water, so if you have to wash your hands, you may have to re-tape or it can get uncomfortable. However, I haven't noticed a problem with it just getting somewhat wet over time from sweat. Where this shines for me is recovery. I wrap a few loops around any sore knuckle for a little compression during the day, and it helps greatly. It's cheap, so I don't care if I have to re-tape because they got dirty or I had to wash my hands. Read more
My husband uses this tape to secure his medicinal patches. It works very well. Read more
I’ve had so much work done on my shoulder, collarbone that that shoulder is lower than the other one just by a little bit, but my bra strap stay up. My husband suggested I use athletic tape and it works perfectly. Just put a 2 to 3 inch piece over your bra strap at your shoulder and you’re good to go. Read more
Somehow the tape is not as sticky as it should be. I used it for tapeing my foot to support the arch of my foot but the tape did not stretch much and did not stay in place for long. It just came off on the edges and the started peeling off Read more
It is super hard to tear with your fingers. If you try to tape tightly, it loosens up faster than other tapes I've used and requires re-taping frequently during the day. It also doesn't stick well enough - I taped my ankles and within the hour, I had a dangling strand of tape off both ankles. Forget about taping your hands to protect against tearing calluses - as soon as you move and sweat, they start to unstick. I asked my PT guy about Ace and he said they never use it. Everyone apparently uses Johnson & Johnson. I had some J&J tape, liked it a lot but ran out. Then I bought this on the Add-on program but it wasn't even worth the low price. I cannot recommend such poor quality tape that you cannot even tear with your fingers consistently (you can only tear it if you just get the edge just right which is not good enough for me - i want to be able to tear it EVERY time with my fingers). I would highly recommend Johnson & Johnson Coach Tape - it has little holes in it so you can easily tear it with your fingers and it sticks super well - never had dangling ends with J&J tape. Pay the price if it's not in the Add-on program. It's worth it. Not this Ace tape. Read more
Great tape. Tears easy, sticks well. Good price. I use it when my calluses blow out sometimes and I want to keep working out, just tape up my hands. Also used it on a pull-up bar for better grip, and its holding and lasting great. Read more
