I give the ACEMAGIC M1 Mini PC a big 5 stars because it has truly surprised me with how powerful and easy to use it is, and I think it is one of the best purchases I have made for both work and home. Even though it is very small and can fit in the palm of my hand, it comes with the Intel Core i9-11900H processor (8C/16T, 24M Cache, up to 4.9GHz), which makes it run much faster than other processors like i7-1195G7, i7-10810U, i5-12450H, and i5-8259U. This means I can easily do big jobs like photo editing, video editing, 3D modeling, and even big data analysis without it slowing down. The 32GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB SSD give me so much space and speed for saving files, installing programs, and even keeping many games, and I like that I can expand the storage all the way up to 4TB if I ever need more room. For the price, this makes it an amazing deal because you get so much memory and speed in such a compact design. The internet connection is super smooth with 2.5G LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi6, and Bluetooth 5.2, which means I can browse, stream, or download files very quickly without lag, and I can connect wireless devices like my mouse, keyboard, headset, and printer all at once without any issues. I set up this mini PC in my home office a few days ago, and the performance has been impressive for such a small machine. The i9 processor and 32GB of RAM handle multitasking easily—I’ve had spreadsheets, browser tabs, and video calls running at the same time without any slowdown. I have had and used this PC for a number of months now. Performance-wise, it has lived up to everything that I expected. I initially used it for remote work and had two external Dell monitors and external speakers hooked up to it. The external speakers I used only had a RCA-style jack on them so I had to plug it into the available headphone port on the M1. Extraneous noises come out through the speakers indicating a shielding issue with the PC itself - the speakers work fine when plugged into a similar jack on other devices. It's been well documented that ACEMAGIC previously sold mini computers with malware installed on them. After initially setting up this machine, the OEM Windows 11 Pro installation detected that something was amiss. I let Windows download and correct whatever problem it detected. I then fully scanned the PC for any viruses and malware using three different scanners: Windows Defender (did offline scan), Malwarebytes and then McAfee (which I run full time on all machines I own). Each and every full scan came back clear and I was able to integrate the machine onto my home network and install work's VPN client with no issues. Overall I am satisfied with this machine and the i9 processor more than takes care of the work I need to perform on it. I'm not sure if USB-based speakers would solve the shielding issue that creates the extraneous computer noises, but in the end it's a minor issue that didn't interfere with Microsoft Teams audio calls a listening to music. For what it is, I’d recommend it for most computer tasks. It seemed to perform nearly as well as my laptop. The form factor is great, with a good amount of USB ports. The only issue I found was that for my purposes, it would not work. I bought it to run CNC controller software, with the need to use the Ethernet port for a direct connection to the CNC controller board. The software was more than capable, but I ran into an issue that is critical for the proper operation. Because the power supply is an AC to DC adapter, the PC itself is not earth grounded. The lack of earth grounding will and did emit EMI that caused the Ethernet to disconnect from the CNC Controller. I think that it is a good value for the money and the speed is great. In the end, I decided to return it. Not because it is a bad PC, but because it won’t work with my CNC Router without causing a disruption to the job processing.
