My old pair of size 13 Corn slippers lasted for around 7 years. They began to wear down on the sides, because of my wide feet. I also had 2 small holes at the top of my left slipper, causing the fur to stick out. It happened when jammed my toe into the wheelchair ramp. Anyway, I wanted to purchase another pair of Corn slippers but I didn't want to pay the high price so I decided to try the $ 68.00 size14 Pedoqu men's slipper. Big mistake! Too hard to slip on, too difficult to take off, narrow, and the fur makes your feet stay very hot. The material description said sheepskin collar & Shearling lining. Where the Corn slippers are 100% sheepskin fur. They fit your feet, warm and very comfortable. I returned the Pedoqu slippers and purchased the Corns. Best slipper ever!!!! Read more
I received a pair of Acorn slippers for Christmas a bit over 20 years ago. They have lasted me through every winter season since then and remained warm and still have a pretty good, if looser, fit. I still wear the old pair with a pair of thick wool socks, but decided to purchase a new pair to wear for the next 20 years. You can see side by side pictures of the broken in ones next to the new ones for comparison. Yes the old ones are dirty, but I probably cleaned them twice in 20+ years. The new ones fit pretty sung for the first few days of wearing them, so be aware of that. I wear a 10.5 shoe and got size 11 in these and they fit great after a couple weeks of wearing them. The old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and I agree with that for 20 plus years with my first pair. They might cost a bit more, but just buy 'em, you wont be disappointed! Read more

Purchased these slippers about a month ago because of the good reviews on quality but had some concern for the size based on other comments. I ended up ordering a pair that was a half size larger. They only come in full sizes (9, 10, 11 etc.) and I typically wear a size in between. If you wear a 10 for example you may want to go up to 11. When they arrived they were a little snug but within a few days of regular wear they loosened up just enough that they are now quite comfortable without socks. Not sure how they will do when it gets colder and I wear them without socks. I tend to wear them with the collar around the ankle flipped up and so if you want the extra warmth you may want to get a taller slipper. They work fine flipped up but the underside of the collar is unfinished (just the bare white underside of the leather) so they don't look that nice. I would have preferred that they were finished so that you could wear them either way. Definitely suggest you buy them slightly larger and be prepared to have to wear them a bit to get them to conform a bit to your foot. Otherwise they are a nice warm slipper with a good rubber sole that allows for brief trips outside or down to the basement when necessary. Read more

These are super comfortable slippers which I bought to replace the pair my parents gave me as a Christmas gift 25 years ago. The old pair had a soft, all leather sole and lasted (like I said) 25 years. The new pair after only 10 months has the rubberized sole already separating from the leather. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! These are amazingly warm and comfy. The leather outside and sheepskin interior are plush and comfortable on the coldest day. The padded rubber outsole is just enough for a walk outside to grab the mail or write your name in the snow. Read more
I have a pair of Acorn sheepskin booties from about 10 years ago, and they would probably still be kicking around, but some mice got to them, so I got these as a replacement. I am disappointed that although on the surface these looked to be the same style as my old ones, they have cut corners on the cuffs. The cuffs are now a different piece of sheepskin -- well, two actually, one on each side -- glued down into the cuffed position. There are two negatives of this for me. One is that I can't flip the cuffs up, to keep my ankles warmer, which I did with the older pair. The second is that the seam on the top inside cuff is too tight, and I can't slip my feet into the slippers as easily as I could with my old pair... I have to sort of wrestle them on. (I have a high instep, which is certainly contributing to the problem; maybe you don't.) I love having sheepskin slippers, but these are a constant source of frustration to me, and I regret buying them. I trusted Acorn products, but now see that that trust was misplaced. Read more
