ACRHD 720p Alarm Clock Radio HD Covert Hidden Nanny Camera Spy Gadget Black

We bought this camera because our college aged daughter though someone had been in her house recently - things moved, curtains drawn, trash outside the back of her house, and chairs pulled out. She lives alone in a small house behind ours, and we wanted to make sure. This ingenious clock radio/camera was easy to use right out of the box. Just set the time and set it in a place that a normal clock radio would sit. The instructions showed how to use the remote to start the camera when she leaves for the day. The pinhole where the camera is isn't visible to anyone who doesn't know it's there. I love that this camera is USA made and that the customer service is also here in the USA. We try to buy American whenever possible, to support American jobs. The camera comes with a tiny mini-SD disk that pops out of the underside, in the battery compartment. The video quality is excellent (in color) and dates and time stamps each video in case you need to know when. She leaves a light on in the room where the camera is located because this camera doesn't have night vision. I researched for a long time before picking this camera - we wanted something hidden but didn't want to pay a huge amount. So far we haven't seen anything on the camera except our daughter coming and going, but we leave it on whenever she's away. The camera is very sensitive and often records video of nothing, but I prefer that to missing something. I just scan through the videos every day or two, delete them and then re-install the disk. Hopefully we won't EVER see anything useful on it, but I feel better knowing there will be video proof if anyone is entering her house. This would be an excellent camera if you have a nanny, cleaning lady or dog walker who comes to your home - just to know what people do when you aren't there. It's definitely not hi-def video quality. 720p isn't all bad. In-between videos there's about 3 to 5 second delay. No audio to the videos. But it definitely keeps an eye on the room you put it in. I have mine in my room. It confirmed my suspicion that someone was indeed going through my stuff in my room. Motion capture works as described. No night vision to speak of. I am so terrible with technology - nothing is ever easy for me - but this item was so simple to use - once I realized how simple it really was to use. Instructions are not easy to understand at all - for me. Hardest part was understanding how to download the needed VLC program for viewing the video. But once I figured that out - I realized that the clock - starts working as soon as you insert a micro memory card. And for me - putting the batteries in is a great time saver! I can unplug the clock - take out the memory card - and then plug it back in and the time does not need to be reset! The color and picture is excellent - the viewing field is very good - it is ok for night vision - which I really don't need - but I can still see an image. I do not need wifi - so this makes THIS product very affordable - and it really does work easily. Read more

Works as expected. This looks much more like an ordinary clock/radio, than the other cheap ones competing. The video quality is solid, real 720p at 30FPS, unlike some others that cut corners using 8-12 FPS and terrible grainy video due to low bitrates. Very simple operation, turn on the camera, press record. No indicators. I think it would have been better to actually have a small indicator to let you know it was on and recording but in the style of the rest of the LEDs to camouflage it's appearance, as it is now, there's no way short of turning it over and opening the battery compartment, to check if it's on. This alarm clock has been a lifesaver! It looks like a standard alarm clock. No one notices the camera lens. It takes batteries as well for backup. The quality is clear. It does not have night vision but you can see just as well as if you were standing there. No fuzziness, the picture quality is just incredible. The SD card goes in by the batteries right on the edge of the battery compartment. I thought I had an issue with it and exchanged it, but later found that it was actually my own error (apparently you need to unplug the device each time you switch out sd cards so it's great to have batteries put in there so you don't have to keep resetting the time! This keeps the SD card from corrupting) There is no setup necessary. Plug it in and you are done. If you need to contact customer service, they are quick to respond (I texted) and do their best to explain and help in any way necessary. Angle is everything. I have to make sure it's not facing the hallway or TV because the slightest movement may make it record. Going through the videos is very easy as each only are one minute long. I appreciate the sensitivity because I know I'm not missing ANYTHING and most videos actually needed for review so it's pretty accurate. This device has provided us with a lot of peace and we just couldn't be happier.
