I Got my first cavity in 15 years. I have only used this twice so I cannot yet say how it does for whitening. It does feel like it cleans your teeth. It does not have an unpleasant taste, and really no taste at all. It is fine powder so not too gritty. I would read the instructions/precautions on the jar: 1. Watch the residue on the counter/sink because it will linger, 2. Follow with brushing/rinsing as it will remain between the teeth. I will continue using as part of my routine. Read more
