I was beginning to think I just can’t bake my Grandma’s pound cake anymore. It failed constantly- undercooked inside or overly browned. The difference was that I’ve moved a few times and never knew ovens vary so much in registered versus calibrated temperatures! The first use revealed my current oven is off usually by 10-15 degrees or more. Such a great little kitchen accessory. I bought this based on other reviews, everyone said this thermometer was accurate. I’m sure my ovens run hot: I’m baking cookies and they’re all burning when baked as directed in my new ovens. However, this thermometer says the ovens are dead accurate. So, WTF??? Why are my cookies burning if the temperature is accurate??
