Can't go wrong with a classic..

Great, quality cleats with a classic look from the 80's-90's... there's a reason adidas hasn't changed the design of these in 25-30 years. Fit is true to size... lots of reviews saying too big or too small or just for wide feet. I wear size 11 in all my sneakers.. mostly adidas. They fit perfect right out of the box.. I have had quite a few pairs of "copa's" over the years and checking back on the some of the tags of the 3 pairs I have left they were all made in Germany..(10-15 yrs old) these look identical in craftsmanship although they were made in Indonesia.. that being said I will update after wearing them in 6-7 indoor league games.. (turf field) hopefully they hold up.. also they are not heavier than any other turfs I've had... not sure why some reviews say that either.. Read more

Really good, versatile shoe.

Great shoes for normal to dry fields and turf fields. I use McDavid 195 ankle braces with them, and they still fit in the shoes. I usually wear a size 10.5, but ordered a size 11, knowing how my feet in previous shoes with the ankle braces. They are a little longer than I prefer, but they accommodate the ankle braces well, and still fit pretty snugly width-wise. The turf cleats provide enough traction for me, a 34-year-old who is kinda out of shape and cannot turn as quicly as he used to, and who's ankles get sore when wearing traditional grass cleats due to the high traction. They aren't the greatest on wet fields, but still do alright. Read more

Still a great shoe.

Tried to get away with using this on nice indoor turf. Maybe a little too much traction. Flats would probally have been better. Still great for thicker turf and hard ground. The kangaroo leather on these is superior to anything else in the price range. Much better protection than newer style shoes. Only downside is slightly heavier weight than the newer style shoes. They will take much greater abuse though. Tried a pair of Copa 17.4 which felt narrow and less comfortable in comparison. The tread pattern was much less aggressive though and would have worked better on the thin turf and less on outside surface. Read more

These are reliable, comfortable and protect well.

I just looked up my order... Purchased these on May 18 2014. Today the leather started to separate from the sole on the left one (inner, under the stripes). As I already purchased an extra pair, the old one stayed on the filed after the game: in the garbage. Here is my take: Almost three years of playing every Sunday in any weather. Even if I missed a few game a year, that still makes it over 100 games! Everything held up well: outsole looks new, every seam is there. I applied mink oil for snow play and let them air/dry out after each game. These are reliable, comfortable and protect well. Like I said: have a new pair for the next Sunday game, totally expect many-many games out of them (If I last that long :) . Read more

Decent, but numerous better options

AudiMarch 11, 2019✓ Verified purchase

I experiment a lot with turf shoes, there's plenty to like about these shoes, particularly arch support: feels very comfortable running in them, that comes in handy after an hour on astro-turf. They're just too bulky and the point of contact with the ball is too volatile because of the huge flap and bulky laces. They're a classic though, I understand why you'd want to try, but I think with the Copas, predator 19.3 TF and others you might want to do a bit more research first. Read more

Coaches choice!

Seth WordenJanuary 19, 2016✓ Verified purchase

If you coach or play soccer, there is no substitute for the quality of the Mundial. Most of my players (high school) all opt for the nike brand. They are replacing midway through the season for $175-$275 per pair. We play on an artificial turf field and these boys perform. They give me an opportunity to play and coach without compromising traction and touch. I'm not a huge fan of the extended tongue. Many just utilize the laces to secure it to the top of the arch.Other than that, they look and feel sweet. They are comfortable and classy with no overt or overbearing pinks or neon green! Less is more in my opinion and if you are a soccer coach, you can try the Nike and then 6 months later you will wonder why you ever drifted away from the mundial. Best bang for the buck! Read more
