Really nice and soft but definitely a little more snug than expected. Feel a bit like compression socks. I wear a women's 8 and bought the corresponding size indicated. They aren't super cushioned or thick on the bottom, a bit more than usual but not at all fluffy or hard to put on shoes with. I got these on sale - $10.99 for the 6-pack.
