As some reviews have touched on, it isn’t the most sturdy barbell you’ll ever use. For example, when I use it during barbell squats, I don’t notice any movement. But, when I do flat bench presses the bar has a tendency to be a little wobbly. Even then, it never feels like it will malfunction in any way. It’s just something you will probably notice a bit. Even if that throws you off though, if you want it just for the dumbbells I would say buy it. I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now and I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I’ve looked at many similar products (dumbbells that can connect to form a barbell,) and I think this one might offer the best value. But it’s not really something someone with a lot of expertise would probably buy. I would highly recommend it to beginners looking to get into weight training because that’s who I was buying this product and it’s helped me a lot. I also really like the possible customization as it comes with many weights. I’m very happy with the money I spent. To summarize, when assembled as a barbell the barbell will be a bit wobbly at times. The dumbbells are great, and there are many weights to customize it to your specific needs. I was skeptical at first, but after receiving (shipped well and arrived quickly) my mind changed. These are probably THE BEST at-home weights I’ve ever used. They are easy to put together, have grips and all the weight combinations I need to get a full workout. They are covered in a silicone plastic like cover so they don’t scratch the floor when placing them down. The versatility is there, use them independently or as a full bar. The design of this product is great. With 88lbs. of weights, it's more than enough for most home workouts. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the yellow cuffs immediately rub off and could easily stain carpets or clothing. I just took them off of the weights to prevent them from staining anything. The barbell feels solid when it's assembled, and the plastic cuffs stay place when screwed in (although I always check them between each set). The product is ok. The dumbbell plates are massive which restrict range of motion in some movements. The position your hands take in barbell mode is also awkward. And the weights take forever to swap out. But they feel durable and safe. Read more

Bought the 88lbs set very versatile comes in lower weight disks maximum if 6lbs so it does look like a lot when stacked. They have a rubber yellow grip around the disks for the safety of your hard wood floors and overall sound deadening if you're dropping weights. The grips on the dumbells move along the bar so when you connect to the barbell you can set it up for closer shoulder width grip or wide. Read more
