Typical of most lights/desk lights these days. Not heavy duty but. It's light weight and very functional as far as desk lamps go. Kind of a pain to adjust ergonomically but does tighten down okay. The brightness depends on the lamps you use. I am using it for some craft work so I'm using a 5000K lamp to get a basic daylight without the tint. Price is okay and what I'd expect for a desk lamp. The clamp is plastic so be careful if your using it. Previous experience with plastic clamps has shown they can easily be stripped. It is a thicker wall clamp compared to others I have used. I will be generous and give it 2 stars for turning on. Other than that, this is pure junk. It is light and flimsy. If inserted into the included desk base, the lamp cannot be extended with falling over due to the light weight of the base. The socket for the bulb is thin plastic, not porcelain/ceramic. Rather than bothering to package it up for a return it will used as a simple desk lamp. This NOT suitable as an architect type lamp requiring adjustment of the arm. Read more

Decent little lamp, but TINY. The descripiton headline says it's a "26" lamp". Another diagram, lower down in the site, shows the two arms are 9" long, which is more truthful. Beleiving the 26" description, I didn't look for more truthful description. Truth is, that the overall height of this lamp, from the desk to the top of the light socket, is 20". The usable lit space, from light , turned downward to light papers or desk, is 14-1/2". VERY mis-leading. Read more
