The BASHSEMI Car Phone Mount for the dashboard feels very well built. It is solid, not flimsy at all, and it holds the phone securely once it is in place. The main drawback is usability. There is no release mechanism, so attaching and removing the phone requires using both hands and prying the sides apart. This makes the hold very strong, but it can feel cumbersome if you plan to use it daily. I ordered it mainly for long trips where the phone will stay in place, such as watching a movie from the passenger seat, so for that purpose it works well. The dashboard attachment itself was a pleasant surprise. It held firmly and did not move once installed. That said, I would not leave it mounted permanently since prolonged sun exposure will likely leave a mark on the dashboard over time. This phone mount works as expected, but it is quite inconvenient to use. The build quality is good, materials feel like they're good quality and construction feels tight. It holds the phone securely, and the dash mount is also secure. The one complaint I have is that compared to most other phone mounts, this one has no mechanism to easily open the two arms that secure the phone. You have to actually pull them apart and push them back together, which requires two hands, which is inconvenient to do when you're also holding your phone. Other mounts, if they're not magnetic, also have spring tension on two arms holding the phone in place, but there is sometimes a button to release the arms so they can separate, or there is a lever you can pull or push to release the arms, in both cases allowing for one-handed operation to place the phone and remove the phone. This works ok, but I would rather use something else. Read more

This seemed pretty well built for a phone holder. The phone holder base extends and the arms clip onto your cell phone. The problem for me was that I just couldn't find a flat enough space on the dash for it to stick to. I drive a BMW X1, and it seems like the base was about 3 inches in diameter. I just couldn't find a flat space that wide that I could attach the phone mount to. The dash in my car slopes downward and you need a flat space to attach the phone holder. The phone holder did hold my Galaxy S23 ultra phone, I was a little worried about the size of the phone, but it did hold it. I wasn't able to drive with it and test it for security. I tried but couldn't figure out a good spot where I could attach it. I'm sure it probably work in other cars. It just didn't work in my car because of the sloping issue where I could get a firm hold of the product. The only place where it was flat enough to place the product was where I could not read the phone or where I could attach it but it would obscure my vision. I feel like it's a nicely made product, it just didn't work for me. Read more
