Got this set of dumbbells for my wife and myself to use at home. Figured it'd be pretty poor quality given the price but was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and materials use. Super easy to change from 3-22lbs. Just need to make sure you insert the handle in the same direction which you pulled the weights out so that the weights are aligned properly. Hard to explain but easy to see in person when looking at the weights sitting in the holder. Otherwise it prevents the rotating handle from adding additional weights. Only minor downside with these types of adjustable dumbbells is that the weights do clunk around a little when you're lifting the dumbbells (like doing a curl or military press) but that's an inherent issue with all these types of system as the weight discs are just a little loose on the handle. Not a big deal as you'll get used to noise but just something to be aware of. Got these for my garage gym and they’re looking really solid so far. Haven’t used them much yet but the build seems strong and the grip feels nice and comfy. I like that you can adjust the weight easily without needing a bunch of seperate dumbells lying around. Saves space and time both. Packaging was neat and everything came in good condition, no dents or damages. Going to try them out with my regular upper body routine soon and see how they hold up. Feels like they’ll last long. So if you have tray in front of you where you see the "Warning" label and the label" MADE in CHINA". From left to right, make sure the plates are facing the same direction with smooth side facing back and the side with the visible circles are facing the front and line each plate the same way on both sides of the dumbbell. If the bar doesn't rotate, pick it up and flip it, and then put it in place, then it will rotate with ease all the way through. Like one of video clip reviews said, you might want to get some tape and color code if you purchase two dumbbells. Use the colored tape so you know which way to place dumbbells in the tray every time. Now the plates came in the correct directions on the tray and I was able to rotate the bar easily, but obviously at some point, I picked up one the plates and placed it incorrectly. So, once you take your dumbbells out of the box, all you really have to do is get some tape and place it in a way that you will remember to put the bar in same place everytime, and color them like one of other video reviews said. A little tiddeous thing to do, but for the price it's not too bad REMEMBER, If all the plates are not faced in the same direction as stated above, your dumbbells will lock up on you, and you will not be able rotate pass the second level. I was skeptical at first after reading some negative reviews but after looking at them, I believe they solved the problem of falling plates upon lifting, it now has a locking mechanism on the bottom and when you lift them from it’s holder it locks in place therefore making it all but impossible to fail, sturdy and secure material made well, just don’t drop on the floor as they have plastic around and possibly inside the mechanism but I am not 100% certain, I do recommend them, as they are good enough for me Read more

These weights are horrible. They don't lock, which makes the weights fall off. They are falling apart. Terrible quality. Very disappointed! Read more

Plastic mechanism holds the weights on the dumbbell so I’m a bit leery of these. Worried I’ll drop a plate on my foot one day. That’s what I get for buying the cheapest one I could find I suppose. Other than that they’re heavy I guess, so yeah, it does what weights should do. Read more
