They adjust to four different weights each, from about 2.2 pounds up to 5.5 pounds, so together that's up to 11 pounds. That range works well for me since I’m not body building, just doing a little strength training. Changing the weight is really easy - just slide on a weight until it clicks to add it or just press the button to slide off a weight. Nothing has come loose while I've been using them, which is good because I was worried about that at first. The handles have these grooves that make them easy to hold, even when my hands get a bit sweaty during a longer workout. They don't slip around, and I like that they have a flat bottom, so they stay put when I set them down on the floor between sets. I picked up these adjustable dumbbells for my mother in laws mobility stuff, since she needs something light for her routine. The weight options are right in that low range, you know, starting at about 2 pounds and going up to 3, 4, or 5. It feels like they hit the spot for not pushing too hard. Changing the plates is pretty straightforward with those buttons on the side. Makes it quick, no fumbling around. They snap in place with a clear click sound, and a little pull checks if theyre secure. During some curls and raises I did, there wasnt any rattling, which is nice. The handles are slim, and theyve got this sleeve thats grippy enough for holding on through longer sets. Doesnt slip or anything. For mixing it up, you can add extra plates to one side and get roughly 7 pounds on a single one, if thats what you want. They stay compact and quiet overall. I’ve been needing a set of dumbbells for a while and thought I'd give this set a try. First of all, they’re pink, so they’re already after a girl’s heart! I love that even my workouts can have a little feminine touch. The dumbbells arrived with some of the weights already attached and a few extras to add on. They come with a small instruction booklet that’s clear but not super detailed. I’ll admit, I’m not the best with gadgets, so it took me a minute to figure out how to remove the end caps. You have to turn the dumbbells on their sides, press the gray buttons at the same time, and slide the end cap off before adding or removing weights. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy. The dumbbells themselves feel very well made. The plastic housing is solid, the materials feel high quality, and the grip is comfortable without slipping. I’ve really enjoyed using them! They’re also lightweight and portable, so I can carry them from room to room and squeeze in a few reps between eating ice cream, I mean whenever I can!
