If you are looking for a lap desk, buy this one! It measures approx 13 x 16.5 x 3.5 inches when closed, and it offers 4 grooves which allow you to raise the desktop to 8”, 9.5”, 10.5” and 11. Strong magnet keeps desk closed until you open it to adjust height. Just slip the metal riser into the slot that you prefer. Metal riser holds securely in slots…mine has never slipped out of any height selection. Foam padding on bottom makes it comfortable to use. I chose grey fabric which looks professional and is tightly woven. Handle strap is well made as is the wrist pad which is securely attached to the bamboo wood desk top. Hinges are great and appropriately sized for the desk. I expect this lap desk to perform excellently for a long time. Overall comfortable weight and not too bulky. Excellent purchase. Read more

This is a very handy lap desk for me. I use it to work in my favorite arm chair at home. I like that it's made out of bamboo. The only down side I would mention is that the top seems to be slightly askew on mine. However, that doesn't seem to affect the functionality. It's not particularly noticeable unless you look closely anyways. Also, the iPad/iPhone holder is too small for either with the cases on. But I got the adjustable version, so I can use my iPad with it and I'm glad I got that version. Otherwise, it seems to be pretty sturdy, and I'm glad that I got it. Read more
This Lap desk works perfect for my needs. I use it for reading (I still read real books!) and use it with my laptop. I was struggling trying to read a hard cover book sitting on my sofa or arm chair. I would use a toss pillow on my lap to elevate the book. (If I read too long with my head facing down, my neck hurts) This was awkward. Using my laptop on my lap was uncomfortable too. But I love this lap desk. I love that I can adjust it put my book or laptop at a more comfortable angle. I also like the width. It is a bit heavy for travel ( I take mine to dialysis) but it is a fantastic desk and works well to sit in my lap and color on, support my ipad, whatever i want to do. The handle is very handy. I can pick it up from the side of my dialysis chair with one hand and set it up on my lap. Read more
This Bamboo Laptop Desk is nice! I use it in my living room recliner to keep the heat of the laptop off my legs. The padding on the bottom and the wrist is covered in a fake denim like material that is comfortable. the padding on the bottom is fairly firm but not uncomfortable. The handle is made of the same material. There is a slot at the top to hold an iPad, tablet or phone but if your phone is in a protective case it most likely won't fit. Mine doesn't. I bought this to more easily use my iPad when sitting on the couch & primarily to draw on my iPad. It’s everything I was looking for & more. I’m also using this as an eating tray on the couch. I really love the adjustable angle on this lap desk! It makes reading much more comfortable and even helps me get a more flattering camera angle for video calls on my laptop. The overall build is sturdy, comfy, and easy to store, which is exactly what I needed. What I don’t love is the slot at the top. I had hoped to use it to hold my iPad while taking notes on the main surface, but neither my iPad nor my phone fits with their case on. Because of this, I’ve ended up not using that feature at all, which was a bit disappointing. That said, I’d still absolutely buy this again for the adjustable angle and solid construction—I’d trade the iPad slot for that any day.
