Pretty solid laptop holder. It looks pretty good on a wood desk and I feel like the laptops are quite secure. It's advertised as allowing you to have an additional screen, but that's not the case with my MacBook Pro M1. The screen doesn't open wide enough (you really need 180°) for that to be feasible, I'd need a slanted holder for my laptop to be used as a second monitor. This isn't an issue for me because I just want one monitor to look at, having 2 monitors is distracting in my opinion. The other 2 things you need to be aware of is: 1) the vents on your mac need to be on the top side of the mac when you insert it to allow for airflow; and 2) MacBook Pros need to be plugged in with peripheries to work in clamshell mode. Because it needs to be closed, vent-up, and have peripheries attached, you should probably invest in a hub/dock to attach all your peripheries + monitor to a single cable then have a charging cable attached to the laptop separately. This makes it so you only have to switch 2 cables when you want to change which laptop you're using. All in all this is a great laptop holder though and gets the job done. It's absolutely beautiful piece for your workstation. Without optional soft padding strips that were in the package I was able to place both my thinner 15" Dell XPS 2022 edition and Asus Rog Zephyrus 2020 edition into this stand, they and very secure. With soft padding Asus probably won't fit, it's on a chunky side. I don't plan to take and place the laptops often, so I don't care for the padding. If you move your laptops often you should add the padding to avoid scratching the surfaces, at the minimum on the lid side. Color of the lighter version has pink undertone, gives me cherry wood vibes, but still goes beautifully with my natural Ash wood tabletop. It will go fine with pine and oak color furniture. All and all very pleased with this laptop holder, would highly recommend. There is soft padding on the bottom of the piece that will prevent scratches to your surfaces if you move it often aswell. The padding is felt, so it's mildly slippery. You can easily replace them with rubbery non-slip quarter inch rubber furniture sticky rounds if you need better surface grip. Read more

It looks great and it works, but it seems like it's either always too tight or too loose - hard to find a good balance between holding the laptop steady and being able to take it off the stand. It's sturdy and it makes for a good phone rest when I'm using my laptop elsewhere. Read more

My laptop gets really hot and I was looking for a way I could prop it up. I stumbled across this vertical stand but the first one I found was almost $40. I kept looking and found this stand for much less. I didn’t know what to expect but for the price I thought why not take a chance!
