Like the flexibility of positioning the weights in different pockets and the reflective stripes for visibility in dim traffic conditions. I think this design works better than the fixed sewn in weights because it is easier to clean/wash. Overall fits pretty comfortable, but is bulkier than the designs with plate slots. Read more

I walk daily and having been recommended to get added benefit from my walks using a weighted vest I picked up this one. There are 20 pockets and each contains a 1 lbs sandbag. The bags are easy to remove and add. A few had some air in the bags which made it a tad difficult to stuff into a pocket but not bad. The bags are all sealed well and I don’t foresee any sand spilling out. It is comfortable. It is simple to put on but simply slipping over your head, placing on your shoulders and wrapping the “wings”. I’m not a thin guy but there is a lot of flexibility in these straps and should fit most well. I recommend using this either at night or early morning when it isn’t hot outside as it will cause you to sweat. In hindsight, I might have selected a vest that doesn’t look like I’m carrying. I’ve had more than a few cars slow as I walk through the neighborhood to double check I’ve got good intentions. Read more

Ok, to be fair I completely missed the part where it was the weights are REMOVABLE. Which makes perfect sense now looking at it. There are literally pockets with velcro that store the weighted pieces. Anyway, this thing is great. I have a weight belt with a chain to attach plates for weighted still dips. It's nice, really nice, but this way i just put the vest on and don't have a plate swinging between my legs. Also great for the dreaded Romanian split squats, rather than using dumbbells I've been using this. Very nice. Pushups? Ha! Try weighted vest pushups and sweat harder! I have not owned a weighted vest before this unit. So my thoughts are just on how this vest feels and secures... First of all, the shoulder padding is comfortable at 20 lbs.. I have backpacked a good bit and the vest is comparable to my backpack... So I think that extended workouts will be just fine... The weight bags are secured nicely with velcro and easy to remove. Walking with this vest is easier than I thought it might be... It is a little warm in Florida sun. The only caveat that I have is the wrap around closures on both sides... I did get them secured, with about 3" of extra tail left over. I wear an XL shirt. 47" chest and a stocky (not fat) physique. I wouldn't try fitting this vest if you are any larger than maybe 50". That is fairly big. The vest fits a wide range of chest sizes.... Overall though... well made, durable feel, and useful for my training needs. Read more
