I was a bit nervous, ordering, and trying out this vest based on so many reviews with so many negative comments, but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all the odor concern. There was barely any perceptible odor, and it was certainly tolerable. Not sure if I am just not sensitive to smells or other people are maybe overly sensitive, but it really wasn’t a concern! For reference, I am 5 foot tall and approximately 140 pounds. I bought the 11 to 20 pound vest and I’m glad I did. I wore it on a 2 mile walk with only the 11 pounds of the vest itself as I took out all of the inserts. It was honestly way too easy! My heart rate was only in the 120s except when going up a hill it got into the low 130s. I even jogged the last 10th of a mile and it still was not difficult. I will definitely need to insert some of the weights and work my way up. However, I do CrossFit three times a week, but I am average at best and I scale a lot of things. The vest is comfortable and fits well. I tightened up the adjustable straps as needed and I wore a T-shirt under the vest and did not have any chafing. I have zero complaints with this vest and would definitely purchase again if needed. Read more

Excellent fit and comfort. This vest is very balanced with weight in the front, back and chest. Individual weights can be added to the front and back for balance. Plus, there's a pocket for your phone, keys etc. It does get smaller as you add more weight. Adjustable straps allow the user to make it snug against their body. I guess my only complaint (albeit minor) is that I would like the straps around the neck to be a little more wide-set. Read more
