I really like this vest. I tried a few others and found them uncomfortable. Mainly because the weight was up high and not evenly distributed. This vest it is adjustable and you can reduce or add weight. The weight is distributed down the back and some in the front. The side straps help pull the weight into the chest wall. What would improve this vest is more durable front straps (they are flimsy) and shoulder compression straps like on a backpack to ensure a better fit. It would be nice to have a pocket for phone and keys too. Read more
This weighted vest is a big disappointment. It is extremely small (Please see the attached picture). The front straps are super thin and don't feel like they will hold up for long. The removable weights are difficult to get in and out of the small pockets and the pocket material is so thin it feels like it's going to tear. The individual weights themselves are nice earning the one star. I definitely do not recommend this vest. Read more
This is comfortable and easy to adjust the weight. I love that you can make it lighter or heavier, depending on your workout and what you need. Great purchase that I definitely recommend. Read more
Like this vest, got for my daughter as she has been getting back into shape and has definitely changed her lifestyle for more fit. She likes how this feels, and will wear with certain workouts. However, when she first started losing weight, this wasn't a great fit. This is really designed for slimmer, and more petite, body. Really like this, has small weights to distribute around the vest, depending on how you want to use, add or remove. Nice workout vest. Once you take the weights out, washing is easy, delicate wash and air dry, hand wash the weights as they need, let air out after each workout. Recommend. Read more
I am a huge proponent of weighted vests as an easy lifestyle intervention for improved bone health, resistance training, and calming propriocetive input that can be done during just about any activity without having to set aside designated time out of your day to do formal exercise. Life is busy and short, so any product that offers an opportunity for safe, purposeful multitasking is a win in my book. I already owned a 5 pound and a 15 pound weighted vest by Apex Up, which I use for various activities and durations. As a petite 100 pound woman, the 5 pound vest is light enough that I can easily wear for hours, if not all day long, so I wear that at work, on runs, or anytime I will be standing for long periods of time. My 5 pounder is the “marathon” vest, whereas my 15 pounder is my “sprint” vest. I wear the 15 pound vest on hikes, walks, or while doing household chores for up to 2 hours at a time when I’m up for a more strenuous challenge. I found though that there were times where the 5 pounds felt too light but the 15 pounds would be too heavy to wear for as long as I was wanting to in a given situation, or on days where I didn’t feel up for quite as strenuous of a challenge, so the 10 pound vest is perfect for those occasions as an in-between option. For people who have not already been accustomed to wearing a weighted vest, this vest offers an adjustable weight option so that you can start slow and gradually work your way up to the full 10 pounds. This is a nice feature that my other vests do not have, so this is great for a novice weighted vest wearer or for providing the flexibility of adjusting the weight for various activities without having to buy multiple vests like I have. The downside to this vest is that it is not nearly as comfortable as my other vests. It is made of a lower quality shell that feels plasticky and tends to rub my skin more raw compared to vests with a soft fabric outer covering. Additionally, since it has the ability to remove weights, there have to be individual removable weight packets, which result in a less uniform weight distribution, even with all of the packets inserted; depending on the amount and placement of any partial weight packets you happen to be using in it, the distribution could be even more off-kilter. For most people, 10 pounds would likely be the ideal daily wear option, but given the discomfort of this vest, and the fact that I own two better vests, this will likely be my least used one. ![Customer review image for Variable weight provides flexibility, but the discomfort outweighs [pun intended] its benefits.](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81-PpSObl5L._SY88._SL1500_.jpg)
Very happy with this weight vest. I would recommend an adjustable one so you have more flexibility in how much weight you add. Good quality and definitely met my expectations. Read more
Everything about this weighted vest is great except for the fact that the chest straps are not made for someone with double Ds. Even pulled to the end of the strap it was still not enough room for it to clip across the chest comfortably. Not a big deal if I just use it to do light walks. Read more
This vest is comfortable and adjustable with straps in the front that allow you to customize the fit a bit. I love that the weights are removable so you can also customize the weight and work up to where you want to be. It was comfortable, seems well made and was easy to customize and get on & off. I definitely felt a difference when walking with it vs without and would recommend it to anyone interested in trying a weighted vest. Read more
