***Update 7/31/25 The seller kindly reached out and offered to send an updated version of this vest. The buckle/strap issue was resolved! I took her on a walk this morning and was very happy with the comfort and fit. I like the thick straps and buckle functionality. It was easy to put on and tighten to my desired fit. The vest is very comfortable on the shoulders and the 14 lbs I carried felt very evenly distributed. I also liked the size of the cell phone pocket. It was very convenient! I have another more expensive vest that is a similar style and this is more comfortable and fits me better. This is a nice vest and had no smell. The price was great (on sale) for an adjustable style. The problem is with the design. The buckles seem to be sewn on backwards making it so hard to reach the back piece. It’s such an easy fix and I can’t figure out why it was designed this way. To wear it backwards and address the buckle issue, means the cell phone pocket is on the back and the chest area is constricted. You cannot wear this the way the product images show without help getting it on, or contorting yourself! Back it goes. Read more

Nice, added weight is great, but not really designed for ‘big girls’. Read more

I've only had it a short time. I'm an active senior nearly 68. Looking for ways to build & maintain muscle mass. I chose this one because it's balanced front & back. Minimum of 4 pound built in, with 6 one pound weights you can add to 3 pockets in front & back. Great for walks & around the house. I used it for a moderate aerobic workout with only the 4 pounds & I was fine. I'll work up to the full 10 pounds. This is all I'll ever need. Read more

Vest appeared to be well made, but the weight distribution did not work for me. Even before adding weights, too much of the 12 lb vest weight pressed on top of my shoulders, causing discomfort. I am returning this one. For me, it is better for a vest to distribute more of the weight close to my center of gravity. I am taking off an additional star because this was $60 when I bought it, and a few days later it was re-priced at $42 (not as a special discount). Annoyed, I bought again, intending to do a return for the higher price, and did not yet know that I didn’t like this vest. Now I have 2 to return because seller did not price it right to begin with. I started working out regularly in earnest back in January with a regimen that includes 10,000 steps a day, intensive cardio and weight training. By the summer I was down 15lbs but walking, no matter how fast I went or hilly the terrain, or how much I would sweat, stopped registering on the intensity monitor. I decided to give the weighted vest a try and it worked! I was a bit concerned about comfort as I am a size 10 and busty, but the vest is surprisingly comfortable. I also like the fact that the vest comes with 6 one pound bags that can be added to or removed from pockets in the vest to adjust the weight. On my first walk I used 12 lbs (all bags removed). On the second I upped the weight to 14lbs which provided just the right amount of challenge. I am happy with this purchase. Read more

My PT encouraged me only to buy a weighted vest that had the weights distributed on both the front and back vs. all the weight on the back. I am really happy with the size and adjustability of this too. Little pocket in front is handy for a phone/key. Read more
