This weight vest is well-made and comfortable. It even has a Velcro- closed pocket for a cell phone (that is not in the description, but iris there). However, I had to send it back. It’s such a great vest, but unfortunately, it is not “good for all fitness levels,” as the description states. After it arrived, I was informed by a doctor that for me, using weighted vest was contraindicated due to a heart condition that I have— Even for passive use, like just walking around the house, was potentially dangerous. Easy to put on and adjust straps. More comfortable than I expected. Weight distrubution is good, but I wish there was a guide that listed how much each section weighed. It took a bit to figure out what was what. I have only used it a couple times so far, but seems like decent quality that should be durable and last a while with regular use. I would buy again. This adjustable weighted vest is a terrific option for anyone who would like to increase the efficiency of their workouts. The vest arrived in a nicely designed product box which includes the vest itself along with six additional two-pound sand pouches. It seems I was feeling a bit ambitious when I ordered the 20-32 pound size, because just carrying the box in from my front door was more effort than I expected. After dropping the box twice, when I finally opened it, I was excited to find that the vest is of excellent quality. The item is very well-made with no defects noted in the stitching or material. The exterior of the vest is made with a flexible neoprene material, while the weighted sand is secured in different compartments throughout the vest. There is one buckle on each side of the vest that allows you to easily adjust the fit, and these buckles work well and feel durable. Additionally, there is reflective material sewn in various places on the front and back of the vest, so if you plan to wear this outdoors during low light hours, you may be less likely to get hit by a car. In addition to the 20 pounds of permanent weight that is sewn into the vest, there are also three compartments on the back and three compartments on the front that each allow for the addition or removal of two-pound sand bags, for a total of 12 additional pounds. These compartments are secured by strong Velcro flaps, and each of the individual sand bags has an attached tab that makes it easy to remove them from their individual section. After briefly wearing this vest with all 32 pounds, I promptly removed the 12 pounds of extra weight so that I could walk without toppling over. If you are someone who is on the shorter side and/or who has narrow shoulders, be sure you review the length and width measurements for the specific vest you order. The difference between the smallest and largest sizes is 5.5 inches in length and 4 inches in width, so be aware that the woman in all of the product images is definitely not wearing the 20-32 pound vest. This item is made of high quality material, appears to be very durable, and is a great value at the current price point. This is effective. The weights are perfect because you can adjust both the front and back, evenly distributing the weight. You can build up to the full weight, but man will you get a work out! So far, I've only been able to walk with this, not run. My husband (model for the pictures!) and I take turns wearing it while walking and it gives such a great boost to our work out! It is adjustable, so it can fit either one of us. It seems fairly durable, though I do wonder if we continue to remove the bags because they're just a light polyester material, how we'll they'll hold up. It does have a few reflective stripes all over it, which is nice for late night walks or runs, but only if you do not need to bundle up. No weird smell when we took it out of the box, granted it sat in the box for a while before we got around to using it. I got the ZO Adjustable Weighted Vest, and it’s been perfect for my workouts. The adjustable weights let you choose the level you want, from light to heavy, which is great for different exercises. The vest fits comfortably for both men and women, and the straps keep it snug without bouncing around. I am a certified personal trainer who enjoys testing and reviewing fitness equipment on Amazon. I just completed a one hour workout using this new weighted vest and I wanted to share my experience in real time. This is a quality weighted vest. It is constructed of a neoprene material. The vest, itself, is filled with iron sand, so even empty it weighs quite a bit. It also has six removable sandbags that have nylon tabs on them that make them easy to remove. Unlike other weighted vests that I’ve tried, the iron sandbags are easy to re-insert into the vest. On other vests I’ve tried, you often have to tuck and push the sandbags back into the vest. One of the things that I really appreciated about this vest is the amount of reflective striping that it has. If you enjoy walking in the evening, you can rest assured that oncoming traffic will be able to see you. This vest is likely more well suited to someone who is in very good shape or who is relatively large. The reason being that a 32 pound vest is quite heavy for a beginner or a person of small stature. The side straps are very roomy. Although the vest is not breathable, it hangs loosely and comfortably. The only thing that I would change about this vest is the lack of shoulder padding. Again, the shoulders of the vest are lined with iron sand. Although the neoprene offers adequate comfort, some additional padding would have been nice. That said, there is no question that this is constructed very well and that I was able to get a very good workout. For frame of reference, I am 5’10” tall and weigh 175 pounds. Read more
