I am in love with these sweatpants. They are insanely flattering, unbelievably comfortable, and incredibly well made, meaning like the kind you genuinely want to live in 💋🙌. They do have a bit more shaping than your typical super-baggy sweatpants, up top in belly and in the bum) so if you want a very loose fit through the seat and curves, I’d recommend sizing up one or even two sizes. { I ordered an XS, and for reference I’m 5’6”, 129 lbs, 27” waist, 37” hips. The fit is snug on my booty (in a flattering way) and looser through the legs. My past pair was baggier in the same size, so hope that helps 💕. } If I wanted that oversized, slouchy “you look tiny” fit, I could easily wear a small or even a medium. And I don’t even have a big booty—so if you do, definitely consider sizing up ⬆️. That said, I love this fit. These are smoother and more refined in hugging fit in the top 1/2, upper belly/ bum/ thighs vs. the last XS I purchased from this brand, and the quality is absolutely outstanding. Thick, warm, plush, and beautifully constructed… these feel luxurious. Yes, they’re priced higher, but the price is absolutely justified 😍. You truly get what you pay for here. These feel like sweatpants that will last for years & years, not one season. I also love the logo, the overall style, and the length is perfect for me at 5’6”. I’d say 5’6” is the max height.. any taller and they may run short, but with sneakers they’re perfect for me. Hands down, this is the best sweatpant brand I’ve ever found. These Aelfric Eden Sweatpants are slightly different from most of the barrel style sweatpants I own from them, as the style really lends itself better to lean towards wearing them lower on the hips depending on your height. This works especially if you're over 5'4" tall. I am 5 ft tall, 120 lbs, and with the length is a bit long, so I wear them more high rise to save myself some work in hemming it up. On my husband, who's 5'10" the length is too short and he's definitely better off with wearing them on his hips. Either way, the fabric is moderately thick, made of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The silver aglets give it a clean touch, and the piped hem on the waist makes it super comfortable no matter where you place it on the skin. This is a great feature considering most of the sweatpants I've seen from this brand, doesn't have that. The contrast stitching is visually appealing and adds on a little bit of a sporty style too! These sweatpants are more than just fashionable; they’re extremely comfortable and flattering. I think it’s worth pointing out that these sweatpants aren’t your typical fleece fabric, since most people hear the word “sweat…” and assume that’s the default. These do look and feel like your typical fleece sweatpants from the outside, albeit far more trendy, but the inside is smooth and soft, rather than that fuzzy stuff that pills over time and gradually gets rougher and less efficient at keeping you warm. Did I mention these are thick, and super warm? Well, they are! And they also have pockets; functional ones! I am 5’3” and these just barely graze the ground if I wear them high up on the waist. While some might argue that the price for these seems high, I believe you’re getting a high quality product, that with proper care can last years.
