I bought these because my refrigerator is literally on it's last leg and I'm convinced it's going to break any day now. However, I likely won't know about it until I lose all my food, so the purchase of these thermometers was my solution to know if the temperature starts to rise in the fridge and/or freezer. Last week I lost my power due to ice storms in my area and when the power finally came back on I was able to view the temps in my fridge and freezer and see that the freezer didn't go above 22* and the fridge didn't go above 42*. So I knew my food was still going to be okay and usable. I love that it's two units so one can go in each section. They are able to stand up or hang from a wire shelf. Also they show not only the current temp, but the highest it's been and lowest it's been since the last reset. This also will let me know if there are huge temp swings in just the normal running of my unit. When this fridge breaks, I'll transfer these to the new one I get as I'm finding them incredibly useful. Read more

Small but easy to read. Doesn’t get in the way of freezer/fridge storage. I like that the thermometer gives the current temp as well as the highest and lowest temps since it was last reset. We use these units in our fridge & freezer in our travel trailer so the historical data is very valuable since the refrigerator freezer are not powered during travel. Highly recommended. Read more

I've always wondered if my fridges and freezer were actually keeping everything at an appropriate temperature, but spending $$$$ to know the answer never seemed that important. This are fairly inexpensive but seem to answer the age old question -- how cold is my freezer? I am very happy with those, the numbers are large enough that I can see them without my glasses! Bought these after we had a power outage for a couple of days. Very accurate. One in the frig and one in the freezer. Even though we have a generator, still like to monitor the temperature. Reasonably priced. They have lasted for a couple of years now. Read more

This works fine in a refrigerator but if you put it in a freezer it will be too cold and it won't work, meaning that having a two pack is useless. Buy a single rather than a two pack or buy a set that can handle temperatures in a freezer Read more
