AEWHALE’s 8-in-1 Multifunctional Electric Cooker looks great on paper, but after using it primarily for air frying, I found that the design feels unfinished and the performance inconsistent. The touch menu is finicky and poorly calibrated — sometimes requiring multiple taps to register, and other times jumping to an unintended mode. Each cooking function (air fry, steam, slow cook, dehydrate, etc.) has fixed temperature and time limits that can’t be customized enough. If you exceed the upper or lower limits, the unit automatically switches to another preset — for example, trying to raise the air-fry temperature too high causes it to jump to the dehydrator setting, which uses a weaker fan. This makes it impossible to fine-tune recipes or achieve consistent results. The air-fryer pan itself sits directly on the heating element, so any grease or crumbs risk dripping onto it. Cleaning afterward takes more effort than expected, and you have to be cautious to avoid damaging the element. The cooking surface area is quite small — realistically suitable for one or two servings at best. I was looking for a nice rice cooker, and got much more with this. Used for the first time today, made perfect brown rice with cream of chicken soup chicken. I can't recall when my rice turned out better. I'm not stuck with just 1 color. I like the glass lid, so I can see how the food is progressing without opening it. I'm trying to get away from the white breads, pasta, rice...those things actually stimulate the appetite so I get hungry again faster. I'm not going back to white. But there is a Facebook group for this product that suggested work-arounds that I will try. Even so, this is definitely a keeper. Read more
