Afloia Humidifier for Bedroom Large Room - Mist Free Evaporative 2 in 1 Humidifier and Air Purifier in

I'm not one to write many reviews and I wanted to wait about 1 month to see how this humidifier/Air Purifier would work. This is an AWSOME machine. Well worth the 5 out of 5 stars. We are in the midst of the winter months and this humidifier keeps our entire single floor/ranch style house humidified at 50%. It has a wonderful top mounted spot to pour water into so you do not need to pull out the water compartment to fill it up. I fill it up with water in the morning and then when we go to bed at night. Works wonderfully. And the price for the humidifier was great as well. In my opinion, this machine gets a 10 out of 5 stars. Well worth the purchase. Read more

First the good: + Price: got it for around $150, which is about 2-3 times cheaper than similar units from AUPU and BLUEAIR. + Build quality: looks solid and well constructed, simple to maintain. Time will tell how long it will last (I guess the only things that can malfunction are water pump and fan bearings) + Simple refill from the top: just pour water on top and it fills the water tank + Built in air purifier: I didn't really need another air purifier, but I guess it never hurts to have one more... Not so good: - Not sure why they made air blow sideways instead of up... The main issue is that such large devices are typically placed next to a wall/couch, which means that 1/4 of the output is wasted blowing into constricted space (wall/couch) - Noise level: this is not an issue of this particular model, but rather a specific thing about evaporation humidifiers. For a similar humidification output (in ml/hour) these evaporation humidifiers are much louder than ultrasonic based humidifiers. It is a tradeoff that one has to accept (the benefit over ultrasonic is that evaporation do not produce mineral air pollutants) - I couldn't really get advertised 1000ml/hr humidification output rate. So far over 5 hours at maximum fan speed (which is very loud) it used less than 4L of water, which brings it closer to 700-800ml/hr. Read more

Tried using it in the bedroom with the 4 hour timmer. It makes a loud musical chime when it shuts off even in sleep mode. It woke me up, then it goes into dry mode that is sort of quiet unless you have just been woken up my the music of it shutting off. Sounds like a loud fan. Only tried it for a week. Wasn't impressed for the price. It's being returned. Read more
