I hardly ever write reviews, but decided after three months of using this product to write one. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on waterproof headsets that have never worked properly. One ear always stops working and is so annoying to swim with. I decided to order these inexpensive headphones because I had nothing to lose. What a surprise! They are amazing. I’m ordering another pair right now just to have a reserve. The sound is clear they stay in your ears, and have already made it through dozens of swims. Unheard of for me. So glad I finally found something that works. Read more
I use these with a Syryn underwater mp3 player for swimming laps (different strokes with flip turns). The original earphones were a disappointment to say the least and didn't last 2 months. The volume was very low also. Now THESE earphones which are the cheapest I found on Amazon, are designed perfect for the Syryn (or any underwater mp3 player you wear on your goggles) with their coiled cord and the sound is very loud! I don't go much past middle. The sound is a bit thin with little bass response but I'm not using them in my music studio. The whole point is to be able to swim laps without being bored to tears and not having to stop every couple laps to fix the stupid earphones! Even if they don't last, at this cheap price, I will just buy them again with no remorse. Get these! Read more
These earbuds work fine, but the hard covers over the wires that shape the ear don’t help them stay in my ear canal. Had to take them off, and now they stay in better. Read more
They’re waterproof, and they make noise. Two stars for doing what they say they do. These are the most uncomfortable earbuds I have ever tried to use. I gave them a solid shake, but I can’t get them to stay in my ears without excessively jamming them down my ear canal, and even then they’ll still leak. Once the seal is broken and they take on water, that’s the end of music in that ear for that swim. I really wanted to like these and get a lot of mileage out of them but I just can’t. It’s going to take a least a week for my ear to feel better enough to even consider trying again. SO uncomfortable. Update two weeks later: bruising in my ear canal healed up so I've been back in the pool again, swimming with this trash. They will not stay sealed to my ears anymore, meaning that the music that has been making my swims enjoyable for almost a decade has become a source of distraction and interruption as I fiddle with my earbuds while they fill with water and stop being audible. If I could take away the last star I would. I got maybe 30 hours of use out of these before I gave up on them and bought more expensive buds from a brand I've been using for a long time. Read more
Bought these to replace the headphones that came with my underwater MP3 player. Replacement headphones were 2/3 as much as the price of the original player, so I started searching around for replacements and I found these. The price was right, so I gave them a try and have not been disappointed. I've had them for several swims now, and the sound quality is better than my original headphones, and the earbuds stay in my ears much better. I honestly forget I have headphones on and just concentrate on the swimming, which is the goal. Yes, the cords are short, but they are designed to clip on goggles at the back of the head. If you wear them that way, they are sufficiently long yet don't drag in the water. (I'm a medium sized female and my husband is a large male and we are both happy with the fit.) Not sure how people who complain about the cord length are wearing them, but without the extension they AREN'T long enough to clip on the hip or waist. Read more
The Good: This product is exactly as described, and performs to expectationt. It's waterproof as promised. Sound quality is excellent in its class. The "Bad": coiled basic phones are 10cm/4" too short. Auxiliary cord is laughably long. Also, thr coil is quite strong--no way you can get a useful length juat by stretching it. I had to buy 3" extension separately from another mfr. Also, I was not able to get satisfactory seal with tge included ear tips, but thats probably the fault of tge shape of my ears. Read more
I'm very hard of hearing and I have tried to look for earbuds that are louder than most but never found any. I bought these because I was looking for swimming headphones and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they are by far the loudest earbuds I've ever had! The sound quality is very good, they're very comfortable, they're quite durable, and the price is very reasonable! I bought another pair as soon as I could afford it. I will be trying to buy a third and fourth pair as soon as I can afford them just in case these go out of stock or they stop making them. Because these are so perfect for me that I know if these go out of stock or they stop making them it's going to be a long time before I can find a pair of headphones that have such good sound quality, high volume, durability, and waterproof for this cheap! In fact, I probably won't find such an item!! Thank you, seller, for selling me an exceptional item at an exceptional price! Read more
Sound quality is very nice. I've been limping by with aging earbuds, and it's great to hear the music loud and clear again. The coil in the wires is a good notion, and keeps the cord up and out of the way. At this point, still new, the coil is so tightly wound that I cannot wear my Syryn player clipped to the shoulder of my suit right now without feeling the tug of the cord--minor, but annoying. I flipped the player up and put it on top of my head, where it rode successfully for my workout. I will probably pick up a headband to which to clip the player when used with these earbuds (I don't use goggles when I swim; if you do, this would be a moot point.) That having been said, at this price point, I won't be going back to the expensive ones. And the coils may loosen as time goes on, too soon to tell. Overall, recommend. Read more
