These should cost more. Aluminum case and I opened 1 up to see inside, nice quality gasket to prevent water/moisture from getting in. Our street is NOT lit and is very dark. Sometimes its difficult to see driveway apron when baking in. These work PERFECTLY. Wish I would have bought sooner. I did not use the stands provided, I place them on the grass/ground directly at edge of driveway so not to be in the way of snow shoveling. I used 6 inch galvanized landscape staples, worked great. They sit low so lawn mower goes right over them, no worries. As a note, I did drive back and forth over one to test crush resistance, AGPTEK took it like a champ, no damage. These are not a $200 a piece light, nor are they a $88 for 12 quality. In my opinion, they are a$25 per light or $300 for 12 lights quality, so $88 for 12 light is a steal compared to cheap plastic ones. Read more
I rep for a low voltage Lighting company. I wanted lights for my dock. Our power had not yet been run so I ordered the solar lights. They are absolutely perfect. They are easy to install. Make sure you flip the switch before you screw it down. I get compliments from all of my neighbors on my Doc lights. I like them so much. I’m ordering them to install them along our driveway also. They are a great value, incredibly sturdy and rated For traffic. These lights shine well into the wee morning hours, but they are not offensive at all. They are very subtle. Read more
Love these lights. Had them for about a month now and they look great, especially for the price point. They feel well built and sturdy for sure. Will report back if anything changes but they’ve been through a couple rain storms no prob while we were out of town and I had forgotten to bring them in. Read more
Very easy to install, light up well at night. We bought 12 pack X3 for our driveway and front garden. Read more
Excellent product. Great quality. These lights work every night, all night. Even on cloudy days, they light up at night. Part of our dock was under water for several nights and the lights still came on under water! Read more
I love them. Very sturdy. I had a little regret initially as I was starting to put them in the ground and with them being flush to the ground - i thought maybe I should have gone with a style above the ground because i wanted a nice day view. Then I remembered that i wouldn't have been able to go down my driveway as many find it difficult to navigate backing out since my driveway goes from wide and then bottle necks and making that adjustment has ppl on my grass, making multiple corrections. So, then i remembered why i decided to go with these lights in the first place....and they were actually perfect for my driveway since they were advertised to withstand being ran over which is what i needed. Above the ground design would have not been a driveway option and i previously was only able to do my walkway as a result. I was excited to be able to finally consider the driveway with these flush and knowing they would be run over alot. I got them installed early enough in the day to absorb some daylight and when night fell, they 1 by 1 started to turn on and VOILAAA!! It was beautiful. Now, in addition, I can find my driveway at night using my cars backup camera. In the fall, when the leaves and pine straw tend to blend into the grass line and even worse when it's raining or rained- causing me to hv to roll down my window & poke my head out or make multiple corrections. I am considering a 3rd box of lights for my back deck & its walkway. Read more
We needed some lights to light up our front walkway since we sometimes receive deliveries late at night. We liked that these are solar powered so we didn't have to fool with replacing batteries or anything. They came nicely packaged, but I didn't find the instructions terribly helpful. My issues: #1 to install the stakes, you need to put two together and then mount it at the bottom of the light. It doesn't tell you how to put the two stakes together and it took some trial and error (note that all 4 pieces are not the same). The stakes then mount at the bottom of the light, but are only pushed in. They aren't secured with a latch or any sort of screw. So when we put these into the ground and needed to adjust, pulling out the light will leave the stake in the ground. A bit annoying when I then have to dig up the stake left in the ground. #2 the are two types of light. One a darker blue, almost purple light. And the other a lighter blue. The switch under the light has an off selection in the middle, and then On to either side. It does not indicate which side gives you which type of light, so it's trial and error again. There is an option to mount these with a screw, such as to a deck or something, but we did not use that option so can't opine on whether that works well. Otherwise, the automatic light up feature is nice. When it got dark enough, they light up automatically. The instructions do indicate that the lights need at least 5 hours of solar charge to provide a full nights lighting. With it being winter time, although almost spring, it gets dark pretty quickly here and stays dark longer. So the lights that get more shade from our trees don't last as long. When I get up in the morning, the more shaded lights are still not on as I believe they ran out of battery. So keep that in mind if you have a very shaded spot to where these lights are going. Otherwise, I do like these lights. Both coloring of the lights look nice, but I opted for the lighter blue, which has a nice LED softness to it. Read more
Love these things. When turned on the blue color, looks like an airport landing strip. Very bright and appreciate the two mounting options. Highly recommended. Read more
