AI Smart Glasses with Camera
I want to come over here and review these before Christmas in case anyone is on the line about these glasses for a present. These glasses are truly amazing. The photo quality is spectacular. I have ZERO connection problems with my phone (I have a Galaxy s21). When creating an account, I did run into some issues because the app was a bit wonky. Eventually I got it fixed. It has its own AI chat (I haven't figured out if you can connected ChatGPT or other AI chatbots up to it yet) called Cyan. To activate it, you say "Hey Cyan" and then ask questions or whatever. If you say "Hey Cyan, what am I looking at?" It will take a photo, then it takes a moment and analyzes the photo it took and describes it to you. Now the description is a touch off, but it gets close. For example, I was holding a Liquid Death Doctor Death can (it is a flavored sparkling water) in my hand. I asked it what am I looking at. It said it was a can of Belgium beer and DID describe the can. I have a Windows PC and took a photo of my desktop and asked what am I looking at, it said a MacOS desktop. So it DOES get part of the way there. There may be ways to fine tune it or like I said maybe even switch it to a different chatbot. The camera quality on these is seriously amazing. Both indoors and out. Pictures and video. I did notice you can be up close to an item- maybe a foot and a half away- it seems to take more wide-view photos and video. So things appear further away than they are. But again, the images are crystal clear. They also record audio and that is very clear. I did try having a conversation while wearing them because my daughter had called me and I answered and chatted using the mic on the glasses and the speakers on the glasses. She heard me crystal clear and I heard her super clear as well. You can also listen to audio as well. That works wonderfully, other people can hear what you are listening to if it is loud- so do be aware. I was jamming away to some Annie Lennox and my husband was asking what I was listening to because he could hear it. I found navigating songs a bit confusing, but I think it is because to pause you double tap, to skip to next song you triple tap, and I think to go back you long press- not sure I would have to look at it again. Really though, these glasses are VERY good quality in my opinion and do really well for their price. I didn't care for the actual sunglasses part and would have rathered them be clear lenses instead of sunshades, but they still work really well. The weight is quite comfortable. Also, I have a large head (circumference of about 22.8") and they fit my face just fine and were very comfortable. I haven't figured out how to check battery remaining and I haven't ran out of battery yet so I can't really tell how the battery life is. A plus product and well worth the purchase. Note: I will try to come back with some video/photos of the camera in action so you can see what it looks like. Read more
