Works as intended

I forgot I got this, and I mean that in a good way. Magnets help this mount to the back of my case where it's unnoticeable. My mini-itx only had one header and I needed two, one for my watercooler's lcd screen and one for my fans. This also gave those connections more slack so I could do a bit more cable management. No problems with either being detected by any software such as for leds, fan speeds or the lcd screen. Read more

Excellent Hub!

If your like me and your case has a lot of bling, get this. Many of my components said they wouldn't work on a hub, but they did on this one. Good buy! Read more

★★★★☆

A well-built but comparatively expensive option.

This review is for the "Airgoo Internal USB Hub, 9-Pin USB 2.0 Header Splitter - 1 to 4 Ports, S-ATA Powered, Magnetic Mount for PC Case, Plug-and-Play Expansion for LCD Screen/Front Panels/LED Controllers" that I ordered via the Vine program. I’m building a new gaming PC, and with so many components now requiring a USB header for control, this hub has been very useful. It lets me connect up to four devices while only using a single motherboard header. The magnets on the back help with hidden placement and wire management, though I do wish they were mounted on the side instead. As it is, the cables come straight up from the hub, which can create clearance issues in tighter builds. The case itself is well made and fully enclosed, unlike some hubs that leave the circuitry exposed. The SATA power connector is a nice addition, but I would have preferred it to be detachable rather than hardwired, since it’s not always needed. Overall, I’m happy with this hub—it works as intended and feels solid—but it’s priced on the higher side, costing more than twice as much as many alternatives. If I were to buy another, I’d likely go with a more affordable option. Read more

Internal USB hub enables newer starved motherboards to carry more ports for case & drive bay panels!

CrossHandedSeptember 12, 2025

I don't like "modern" PC cases due to their lack of USB ports along with the loss of drive bays, as I'd often use the bays to add more ports even back before motherboards lacked the internal ability to use them. With more recent upgrades I've found even the newer motherboards lack having multiple 9-pin USB headers on the inside, sometimes having only one or two of them. This would limit my ability to expand, even if I have more ports I could use on my case or drive bay expansion solutions as there just wasn't enough of these headers on the motherboard. This useful airgoo internal hub solves that problem expertly by taking one of the 9-pin headers, and splitting that to four - allowing for 8 ports going to the outside rather than only 2! Not only does it split the ports, but it has a SATA-type power connector to reinforce the +5 pin on the USB ports, which can be useful if stable power is needed for things like case fans, LED lights or mechanical drives. While I've used devices like this in the past to expand internal/motherboard headers, this is the first time I've seen it with power input. I especially appreciate that it uses the SATA power connector type going to the power supply rather than the 4-pin since I'm always running out of the 4-pin but have a ton of SATA type connectors doing nothing! The power connector is on a 2-pin cable and cannot be detached so it will add a bit of wire clutter even if you don't use it but thankfully its not too bad. The package includes a cable that goes from the box into the 9-pin from the motherboard, but does not provide any actual USB-A ports that go to the outside, which is to be expected. The device has magnets on the bottom to allow it to easily mount to the metal surfaces of most PC cases, which is also very convenient and better than adhesive - highlighting the good build quality on display here. At $20 this is a great value for money for the functionality it provides especially since you get 8 total USB-A ports once you pair it with drive bay USB expansion headers for the front of the machine, or PCI slot cover port arrays for the back of the machine.
