The media could not be loaded. I love these torches! These look very realistic from a distance. The flickering looks random enough that you can't tell it's actually a subtle pattern. I can't speak to the lifespan of this particular brand since I haven't had them long, but I've had very similar ones last way longer than I would have expected. When you take them out of the box, it's evident that these have good quality photo cells. The cost per torch makes them a good value. It's easy to add warmth to your backyard. The media could not be loaded. I put these up around my pool and they work great, look great, last plenty long overnight, especially in the summer. They are very easy to put together and place in the ground. Everything is simple and easy to do for set up and first use. They are also easy to take down in case of storms, I just leave the stake in the ground to not forget where I had all eight of mine. With that said, these do not last real long. The first pole cracked on me within a few months. I wrapped black gorilla tape around it to stop the damage, which does work. At probably a few months under two years of ownership, I had taped both ends of every pole (16 pieces) to stop damage. Even that doesn't work forever. The poles are cheap and thin plastic, so being outside all day causes them to become brittle and just crack. Eventually a few have just fallen apart. After a few fell apart, I replaced the pole with 3/4" PVC typically used for irrigation (I think SDR 21, 200psi) which is the closest inside diameter I could get to the lights. I still had to wrap the lights with some duct tape to make them fit securely in the new pipe, which I also painted black. I have three failing lights at this point, the one in the video started doing what it does after probably 18 months or so. Two more just don't work at all now. Overall, the lights are great, they just don't last real long. I did but more to replace the failing lights, but this time I purchased the extended warranty. Read more

I purchased a set of Tomcare torches earlier this year, but after 7 months, one quit entirely, one only came on for three or four hours, and a third only had half the LEDs working. I took a gamble on these, which were quite a bit less expensive. After about 6 weeks now, these are working great. The color is a bit more orange than any others I have bought in the past, and the plastic seems a little thinner, but they are holding up and lasting all night long, even with temps in the 30s and 40s. OK, great product, these are as close as I have found to the original model. We had one of the original ones wash up on our property after a hurricane a few years ago. It still works great. These Aityvert's have the same flame pattern and are still working after a year. I have 8 of these now and will only buy this brand. Note: Buy some cheap ones for $15 and soon will be thrown away.
