I ordered the alaro shampoo and cologne because I wanted to find products that were naturally derived and had a clean scent. I thought their packaging was kind of my aesthetic, too. During certain times of the year our dog friends tend to get a little more noticeable when they are wet or haven’t been bathed for a while. The use of pet cologne can definitely come in handy. The Alaro dog cologne has a slightly noticeable clean scent. The scent is not overpowering and using the pump sprayer. You can apply as much cologne as needed to help deodorize your pet. In my case, my two medium sized dogs. The cologne doesn’t have a greasy feel after being applied and it doesn't leave a sticky residue. After application, brush or massage the cologne into your dog's coat and allow it too completely dry. I found that the cologne worked fairly quickly at eliminating any odor after it was applied and you don't have to over saturate your dog's coat for it to be effective. Experiment at what works best for your pets. The cologne is made of mostly natural ingredients, and it hasn’t irritated my dog's skin. The cologne does mask, if not eliminate a slight to moderate odor from your dog's coat. Though it’s best to bath your pets to keep their skin and coat healthy. In a pinch, this is a good alternative, and you can take it with you if you’re away from home to freshen up your pets. Another plus for me is that the cologne is alcohol free and it can be used safely on dogs of all ages. I also like that it's a USA made product. This smells really good. I love how it made my dog smell. It’s not a headache inducing smell, it’s mild and fresh like a soap or shampoo scent. My dog did not mind be putting it on him. I sprayed it on his fur then rubbed it around. The sprayer worked good and it didn’t leak or get stuck. My dog is a Goldendoodle and has poodle fur which can mat easily, and this did not affect his fur at all. It did not cause him any irritation. It also didn’t bother my skin from touching it. The scent lasted about a day, then I had to reapply it. It has a minimum amount of ingredients and doesn’t contain the items that can be damaging to hair. You can tell it’s a good quality product based on reading about the brand. I appreciate that it is made in the United States. It’s a huge bottle so a great value, I will get a ton of use out of it and won’t have to repurchase for a long time. Ok. I'll just tell you now. I am very happy with this purchase. I was so worried that I would get this spray and it would smell chemically or be sticky or something weird. Nope! The spray has a subtle pleasant scent. It's NOT overwhelming. The dog doesn't smell like Fabreeze (lol). It's the perfect strength, and makes the dog smell fresh. Wonderful.
