I recently got the Alcarin Electric Ice Cream Maker, and I’ve actually been having a lot of fun with it. If you like experimenting with homemade desserts, it’s a great machine. What I like most is how easy it is to use. The touchscreen is straightforward, and the one-touch programs make it simple to switch between things like gelato, sorbet, and frozen yogurt without having to guess settings. The Mix-In and Re-Spin features are also really useful—especially the Re-Spin, which helps turn an initially crumbly batch into something much smoother and creamier. It’s also great for healthier recipes. I’ve been able to experiment with low-sugar, high-protein, and dairy-free options, which is a big win if you’re trying to eat cleaner but still want dessert. Cleanup is also easy since the pints are dishwasher-safe. Overall, I think it’s a solid choice if you want the flexibility to make your own frozen treats at home! Read more
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using it. The biggest strength is how easy and intuitive it is the touchscreen and one-touch programs make switching between options like ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt very straightforward. I also like the flexibility it offers with mix-ins and the re-spin function, which does a great job improving texture and making the final result smoother and creamier. The ability to experiment with different recipes, including healthier or dairy-free options, is a strong advantage, and cleanup has been simple. It’s been a genuinely fun product to use and makes creating customized desserts at home very accessible. In terms of improvements, there are just a couple of minor points. Since the machine requires ingredients to be pre-frozen for about 24 hours, it does require some planning ahead, which may not be ideal for more immediate use cases. I also found that achieving the perfect texture can take a bit of trial and error depending on the recipe, although the re-spin feature helps significantly with that. That said, these are relatively small considerations, and overall the experience has been very positive. It’s a well-designed product that makes the process of creating homemade desserts both easy and enjoyable! Read more
This Ice Cream Maker is amazing. It makes Ice Cream with ease. I love the 8 different options it offers to make and customize your ice cream as you please. The extra cups it includes allows you to have pre made in the freezer waiting for you to make more ice cream. Making it takes less effort then the traditional way. The control panel on this ice cream maker was defective right out of the box. None of the buttons worked except the “Clean” light, which stayed illuminated no matter what I pressed. Since the machine couldn’t operate at all, I’m returning it. Read more
I find this concept attractive. It is difficult to use. The recipes are just below average. I’d not recommend. I’d upgrade to a ninja. Or something similar. Read more
We made our first batch of Ice Cream with the Alcarin Ice Cream Maker. We chose Strawberry using the freshest strawberries to add value. We mixed it up following the simple step by step directions and let it freeze overnight. The next day the Alcarin unit mixed the frozen ingredients in 2-3 minutes and we followed that up using the respin option that assures a rich, creamy and delicious batch of strawberry ice cream. It couldn't be simpler! We can also sample Gelato, frozen yogurt, smoothies, sorbet, slushi's and frozen drinks!!! We are going to make pineapple ice cream next. *update- Once you have the ingredients for ice cream recipes, the rest is a breeze. Follow the recipes, freeze overnight and a batch of creamy delicious ice cream is ready in minutes. I think this ice cream maker works very well. I love that the blade is magnetic which makes cleaning so easy. I don’t think it’s any louder than a blender or other appliance and actually I think it’s not as loud as other brands. It’s really nice that it comes with 3 containers, they are the perfect size for 2 people to share. I do think it would be nice if the lids for the containers locked or snapped on instead of just sitting on top. It would make carrying when they are not frozen a bit easier. I also think a better/expanded recipe book would be nice. Overall I really like this ice cream maker and I feel like it’s worth the price I paid. Read more
Had missing parts to my original order but ordered a replacement one. Wow I made ice cream as good as Hagendaz. Follow the instructions. Leave in freezer . when you are ready to serve, remove from freezer place in refrigerator for 45 or so minutes. It will soften and ready to serve. You can also use a custard style or stabilizer in your recipe,so it doesn’t freeze solid . Read more
