This is a nice heavy weight and BIG. The small is quite long (at my ankles) and big but very cozy for winter. It can’t gap which is nice too. So sizing may depend on preferences. OVER THE MOON WITH THIS BATHROBE! I just received this Alexander Del Rossa Women’s Plush Bathrobe and it is my first Alexander Del Rossa purchase. I chose Plus Size XL in Purple and for the first time in several years have found a Bathrobe that’s really plush and fits like a dream. It's well made and the material is not thin and better than expected. Almost all of the bathrobes I've searched have hoods. Why?? They just get in the way and pull at the neckline unless you are planning to wear it out in the wind and rain. This one does not, thankfully, and has all the other features and qualities I've been looking for. Now, I’m going to do something that most people don’t think of when writing a product review. I’m talking about measurements regarding garments. It’s difficult to consider a garment when a reviewer simply says it’s great, or I love it, and that's fine. But measurements always help. Ok, I’m 80 (brain still says 45) and don’t necessarily have my 35 year old figure anymore. My measurements are: Bust, 46” Waist: 40” Hips: 48” (The typical Italian “pear’ shape.) Shoulder measurements are 26” across, and my height shoulder to ankle is 55ish” …. I’m 5’4”. This bathrobe falls exactly at my ankles and fits my frame perfectly from shoulders through waist and hem and the best part is that in an XL for my shape there is ample material to fold over the stomach area with a generous tie belt! Yea!! I have not washed it yet and hope that it will hold its shape. I hope I’ve given enough ammunition to help assess the size comparison for you. I love this bathrobe, the color is deep purple and it is soft and cozy. I have to say that the size chart is very accurate. You won’t be disappointed in Alexander Del Rossa. This label will now be my go-to when looking for bathrobes, pajamas and the like. Read more
