I have wanted this pan for a long time. The pan I had was a round cast iron one that was difficult to clean and always set the smoke alarm and had a small cooking surface. This all clad pan solved all of those issues. The pan is square so it accommodates multiple pieces of chicken or steak. I can, and did, use it for kebabs. It was easy to clean and cooled off quickly. My mom laughed and said that it was the first time I grilled inside when someone didn't have to take down the smoke alarm and close it up in the bathroom. The steaks I cooked were juicy with a nice bark from the rub I used. The kebabs were easy to turn and also tasted delicious. I grilled some eggplant and zucchini one night and it too was tasty and not dried out, which was an issue with the cast iron. I will mention one more thing. I went to the mall to Williams Sonoma AND to Macy's looking for this pan. They both supposedly carried it and actually neither had it in the store. I wasted hours and gas making this trip. I love cooking, but there's no way I'll ever use a grill. This pan lets me get that grilled look without an actual grill. It's also a good price compared to other options. I'll be gifting this to friends and family, I think it's a useful gift. Read more
I bought my first grill pan about five years ago and fell in love. Love, Love , Love to grill on my glass cooktop. I grill vegetables, chicken, fish, burgers, cheese steaks, you name it - any vegetable or thin cuts of meat work great. The photo is my first time using this pan, I grilled tilapia. This is now my third pan and I spent a little more money on this All-Clad because of the reviews and I'm so glad I did. The first pan I owned had a teflon coat. My second pan had a ceramic non-stick coat. Both pans only lasted about a year (of 1-2x week use) before the coating started to wear off and it slowly became harder to clean and I had to replace 1 1/2- 2 years or so later. I'm hoping this pan lasts longer. This pan's surface definitely sticks less and cleans easier than the other two pans even comparing when previous pans were new. It's also slightly larger than the others, which I like a lot becaue I'm cooking for a family of 4. I've now had it a few weeks and have used it at least 5 times and am convinced that this is the best one I've owned. It has hot spots (center of where burners are- duh), but you can definitely cook on the entire pan, just maybe move meat around a little. I've had zero problems with sticking. Some things have a lot more 'juice' and it fills the edges, so I take wadded paper towel and soak up some while cooking- I had to do that with all my pans. To sum up: better larger size, surface is truly non-stick, easy clean, sits flat on glass cooktop, cooks great, very happy. Read more

It’s heavy and requires two hands to pick up. A smaller one for one or two people would be better for people who don’t cook for a family of 4 or more. I mostly cook two drumsticks or kegs and one small cut of top sirloin of 5 ounces. So a smaller one would have been nice to get. Other than that it cooks very nicely in the oven I have not yet broiled with it. EDIT: I am back to using foil wrap on a pan to bake my food. This thing is just to.heavy to pick up and wash after every use :(. Read more
A must-have kitchen utensil! This reasonably priced All-Clad grill pan is superb. The quality materials and workmanship are first-rate. This rugged aluminum pan heats quickly and evenly. The moderately large, square surface accommodates a variety of food shapes and sizes. The non-stick surface is very durable and the pan cleans easily and lasts for years. You can pre-heat this aluminum pan over medium-high heat to get that nice grill sizzle. But, like all non-stick coated pans, do not exceed 450 degrees. Absolutely DO NOT use Easy Off to clean any surface on this pan other than just the stainless steel handle. We have owned this model grill pan for nearly 20 years... and only replaced it once due to using Easy Off to clean it -- oops! I bought a second one of these after a stove top used to overheat and eventually it warped a little and burnt. However, that ONLY happened because of my old stupid stove. LOL It still worked but after a few years of intensive scraping and cleaning, some of the coating wore away and bacon would stick to it. The new one is perfect and is enjoying its service upon my new stove without any issues. It cooks beautifully, doesn't stick and the food looks great. BEST GRILL PAN EVER Read more
This pan is magic! Even chicken and meat that char cook perfectly and taste like meat grilled over a fire. Vegetables also grill and taste as if they’ve been cooked on a barbecue grill over direct flame. And, guess what?? This pan cleans up so well that it looks like new even after cooking meat and chicken that left my other two (now discarded) grill pans impossible to clean.
