First of all, I’m a huge fan of Allegra K and already own several dresses and jackets from the brand. They specialize in high-quality apparel at reasonable prices, and all of their pieces feel more like something you’d find at a department store. I was excited for the opportunity to receive this pink A-line belted midi dress. The fabric is high quality- not too thick, but not thin either. It comes with a matching belt, which is honestly essential for such a simple dress. Without it, the silhouette would look like endless pink fabric with nothing to break it up. The dress has a classic, simple cut with a slight A-line skirt. I like that the skirt doesn’t flare out TOO much, which is a common issue I run into. This is a work/networking event/church-appropriate dress, so the slight A-line keeps it chic and stylish. It’s the perfect alternative to a fitted pencil or sheath dress without going for a full, flared A-line. The dress has a longer midi cut that hit around knee-length on my sister in the photos- she’s 5’9” for reference. I’m only 5’4”, so I figured it would actually be more flattering on her. The shade of pink is perfect- subdued and flattering. Too often, designers miss the mark with pink, making it too bright, bubblegum and childish. This shade feels refined and chic- like something a classy heiress would wear. It’s a great option for Easter but versatile enough to wear to work throughout the year.
