We brought my mother to stay with us for hospice care. A fitted protector came with the hospital bed/mattress, but it tore after adjusting the bed several times. What I really like about this protector is the thickness of the vinyl and the fact that its design completely covers every part of the mattress (since it zips on one short edge.) If you want to spend 20 minutes carefully sliding this product onto your hospital bed mattress, collecting 2000 steps on your fitbit while you walk back and forth around the bed, only to have it rip when you carefully try to close the zipper, this is the product for you. It was being installed on a brand new Invacare 36x80x6 mattress with its own plastic (a pretty slippery) cover. Only then you will find that Home Healthcare Products doesn't abide by Amazon Prime return policy, so you will have to pay the shipping... Never again with either this product or this supplier.
