Very impressed with this pull up bar. I must admit that I bought it because it was very affordable. Assembly was quick and easy with the included tools. Mounted fast and securely to 90 year old molding. Has no trouble holding my 185 pounds. The grips are padded and very comfortable. It includes a clip to keep it from slipping for increased safety. It slides behind the trim and locks the bar in place. High quality tubing that doesn't bend under pressure. If I needed another one, I would buy it again with no hesitation! Read more
I recently purchased the Ally Peaks Pull Up Bar Door Frame, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This pull-up bar has become an integral part of my daily fitness routine, and it deserves a solid 5-star rating for several reasons. First and foremost, assembly was a breeze. I'm not particularly handy, but I had this pull-up bar up and ready to use within minutes. The clear instructions and the fact that no additional tools were required made the setup process incredibly smooth. One of the standout features of the Ally Peaks Pull Up Bar is its sturdiness. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it supports my body weight during pull-ups, chin-ups, and various other exercises. The bar feels secure and doesn't wobble, providing me with the confidence I need to perform my workouts safely. What's even more impressive is the affordability of this pull-up bar. In a market where fitness equipment can often break the bank, Ally Peaks has managed to provide a high-quality, durable product at a price point that won't empty your wallet. It's an excellent value for the level of quality and functionality it offers. Additionally, the pull-up bar's design allows for versatile use. Not only can I use it for pull-ups and chin-ups, but I've also attached resistance bands to it for added exercise variety. It has truly enhanced my home workout options. Read more
This product is exceptionally sturdy and perfectly fits the door frame. It effectively distributes weight, preventing damage to the frame even when subjected to the weight of a 200+ lb adult male. The frame is easy to attach and detach. Read more
I like this, and it works as advertised, but I deducted a star because the ends will mark up the door frame. I put socks on the ends, but I should not have to do that. It is certainly worth the price, but expect you might have to check the tightness of the screws on occasion...and make sure you make the screws as tight as you can. Installation was fairly easy. The handles to pull yourself up are comfy. Read more
This is exactly as described, an upgrade from the old ally peaks pullup bar. I have had the old one for several years, and it was time to replace it, so I bought the upgrade. This new one is thicker metal, a bit heavier, and definitely feels stronger and more stable. I like that they eliminated the center joint, and made the width adjustable. Great pull-up bar and value! If you look for a pull-up bar, you're going to see a lot that look like this one. I chose this above all others due to rating and reviews available. I've had this for a few weeks now and it is as advertised. The assembly instructions are clear to understand, the workmanship is very good as far as finish and the grip material. It does come with the door frame protector pads if you want to use them, but I haven't found them necessary. I use them for "dead hangs" and pull ups and have had no reason to feel uncomfortable about their weight support claim; I'm about 200# now, working my way down :-) You do have to assemble it and it comes with the tool necessary. The box is real flat so you may wonder if they sent the right product. Once you open the box you'll see all the parts well packed and individually bagged. Assemble and get going to meet your exercise goals. You can use it for more than pull ups, too. See the pictures in the product ad for details. I'm happy I got it. Read more
This bar is adjustable and works perfectly in any framed doorway. It fit a small doorway that is perpendicular to a wall and has three grip positions - love it. Read more
I've used these types of pull-up bars for decades, but I've never had one fail...until now. The cushion on the back of the bar that sits atop the door's casing is thick, leaving less of the actual bar to make contact with the door frame. Consequently, the second time I used this, the soft backing ripped off, causing the whole unit...AND ME...to fall straight down to the ground. I crashed down on both knees and severely compressed my lower back, sending me to the chiropractor three times. This will be going back! Read more
