This is a nicely made satchel, good for travel, smaller (this was the larger size also!) and could not comfortably hold my iPad (11”) so it was not going to replace my bailey works messenger bag. But overall it is a quality piece of equipment and my wife thought it would make a good piece for someone who prefers the iPad mini. Read more

Bought this as a gift for my brother and he really likes it. It’s able to fit a lot including his mini water (.36L) bottle, his 11inch iPad Air, and his bullet journal as well as a variety of other small things (pens, portable charger, mints, etc.). Quality of the material seems great too and the color is a nice shade of green. Read more

If you need a sling that sits in the "Goldilocks" zone—bigger than a pocket pouch but smaller than a messenger—the Alpaka Flow Satchel (4L) is a serious contender. It handles daily essentials without looking like tactical luggage, and the layout is surprisingly capable for creators. Deceptive Roominess: Don't let "4 Liters" fool you. Because the shell is soft rather than rigid, the bag adapts to your gear. The wedge shape (wider at the bottom) lets you pack bulky items like a tech pouch or sunglasses at the base while keeping the profile slim under your arm. Fitting a Full-Frame Camera The biggest surprise is that it can haul a professional setup if you pack smart. • Horizontal is Key: A full-frame body won't fit lens-down. Place it horizontally (grip up) with a prime lens attached (like a 35mm or 50mm). • Protection: Since the bag isn't padded, wrap the camera in a thin cloth or camera wrap before nesting it in the main compartment. The "Secret" DJI Pocket 3 Holster The external water bottle pocket is the real MVP features. Instead of wasting internal space, I found it perfectly holds a DJI Pocket 3. It keeps the gimbal upright, secure, and ready for instant grabbing without ever unzipping the main compartment. Verdict This is the perfect bag for a "run-and-gun" shooter. It holds a pro camera and a vlogging setup without screaming "I have expensive gear." Read more

I just used this bag on a 2 week vacation to South America and it was perfect. It has 4 interior slip pockets to keep things organized, 2 exterior zip pockets, and a water bottle pocket with an elastic loop to keep the bottle from falling out. One of the exterior pockets has a keyring that detaches via a strong magnet. The inside of the purse is light colored to make it easy to find things. The exterior strap ingeniously detaches at both ends, which turned out to be very handy when layering a backpack or coat on top and wishing to easily remove this bag - and the strap can be looped through the rung of a chair for extra security at a sidewalk cafe for example. The inside is generous enough to hold a sweater, and overall is a nice size, not too large. Since the zips are low profile it felt more secure and less likely to be easily broken into by a pickpocket . I only wish it came in slate grey or some other color choice besides black and olive. I purchased the olive. I would have preferred the 11L "Flight Satchel" but it was not available via Amazon at the time I purchased (and therefore not in time for my trip). Read more

Great bag in general with enough open space and pockets to keep your edc from getting lost in your pants and outerwear pockets. It’s lowkey to not appear like a purse, just a general purpose bag. I got this to help me consolidate personal items out of my work bag. I like the sling strap it’s very smooth and easy to adjust on the fly albeit two handed. The swivel on off linkage are a nice touch. The three outer pockets are very thoughtful. Though I can’t find a stout enough water bottle to make use of the zippable bottle pouch - I currently use a 12oz swell bottle. I like that one pocket is hidden and the other isn’t. The magnetic key lock is great. Inside, the pockets are simple and each sized the same, about the size of stack of 3x5 index cards. In one I keep two shopping bags. Another has my fountain pens and gloves. The next has a notepad and permanent markers. Lastly one for tissues and travel sized personal products. In the open space I can fit a small paperback book and winter. All that is basically the weight of the contents, the bag weighs practically nothing. Read more

This bag was exactly what I was looking for - except the seams started unraveling after one day of light use. I contacted Alpaka customer service to let them know about their poor quality control, and also let them know that Amazon accepted a return and issued a full refund no questions asked. Alpaka then offered to send me a bag (which I didn’t ask for, but how great is that?) They then withdrew the offer because I had returned the bag (which I had told them before they made the offer). Weird. Read more
