Reliable Wide-Angle Camera That Actually Delivers
I bought this for one specific reason: apartment maintenance walkthroughs when I’m not home. I needed something simple, discreet, and dependable. Four days in, it’s been exactly that, no drama, no surprises. Pros: Setup was refreshingly easy. Plugged it in, opened the app, it auto-detected, I entered my WiFi info, and I was up and running in minutes. Connected to 5GHz WiFi without a fight. Streaming is smooth with almost no lag. The 160° field of view is legit. From one outlet, I can see my entire living room and even down the hallway. Video quality in normal lighting is very clear, and playback inside the app works exactly as it should. Motion alerts are timely and include a timestamped screenshot, which makes reviewing footage simple. It actually works as a charging block. It feels solid and well built. The camera lens is hidden behind a tinted front covering and does not jump out at you. It includes replacement adhesive stickers specifically designed to cover the physical switches and SD card slot. The stickers only reference “power supply,” so the device continues to look like a standard charger and nothing more. Cons: In low lighting, the image can flicker slightly. As soon as a light is turned on, it clears up immediately. It gets mildly warm while plugged in, but no more than a typical adapter. Best For / Not For: Great for someone who wants wide coverage in a room without installing a visible camera. If you need strong low-light performance in complete darkness, this may not be the right fit. Tips or Setup Notes: I’m using a 64GB microSD card and after four days of recording, I still have plenty of space left. Motion sensitivity can be adjusted in the app. You can save screenshots or video clips directly to your phone during live view. One-line Closing Verdict: It quietly does its job, and so far, that’s exactly what I wanted. Read more
