The 160° field of view is legit. From one outlet, I can see my entire living room and even down the hallway. Video quality in normal lighting is very clear, and playback inside the app works exactly as it should. Motion alerts are timely and include a timestamped screenshot, which makes reviewing footage simple. It actually works as a charging block. It feels solid and well built. The camera lens is hidden behind a tinted front covering and does not jump out at you. It includes replacement adhesive stickers specifically designed to cover the physical switches and SD card slot. The stickers only reference “power supply,” so the device continues to look like a standard charger and nothing more. Cons: In low lighting, the image can flicker slightly. As soon as a light is turned on, it clears up immediately. It gets mildly warm while plugged in, but no more than a typical adapter. Best For / Not For: Great for someone who wants wide coverage in a room without installing a visible camera. If you need strong low-light performance in complete darkness, this may not be the right fit. The media could not be loaded. This is not my first product from this company, so I already had some higher expectations for the product before purchasing it. I was little bit disappointed but the company disclosed that upfront and gave a reason why. So, I can’t take a star down because they are following Amazon’s policy, which other companies are not following. With all the great features of this product, turning on the audio feature would have made it complete for me. Now, that I got my disappointment out, I love everything else about this product. When you say wide angle, it is really a wide angle allowing more views at 160 degrees. It is also both 2.4G and 5G allowing to move the camera far from the router and still have good connectivity. The app is easy to install and different types of products can be added to the same app. I took the video and pictures attached in not so great lighting conditions but the pictures are good. You can use it with or without the micro SD card. If you are watching an event live from a distance and would like to save the video without the need to come back to the physical device, you can hit the record icon right from whatever you might be in the world and save the video. If you zoom in during the live video, the product would still record the images normally without the close up look. In the attached video, I took a close up look a some plants and the camera shows some good details indicating that the HD 1080P claim is real. There is no night vision because it would give up the “spy” nature of this product. There is no way a naked eye can see a camera in the product. I turned off the alerts because my camera is permanently located at a location that people enter quite frequently and alerts are becoming overwhelming. In the box, there is virtually, any and everything one needs to operate the device, except of course the micro SD card that is not required. After a couple of sketchy rental experiences where thing just felt off, I started bringing this smart camera with me. So far, it's been working great. Nice image quality.
