Needed Battery Pack

No more running out of power after a few hours of play. Got tired of having to plug in a wired connection when playing RPG's. Now I can play wirelessly hours on end. Also, they have a great customer service department where one of their charging cords came with the battery packs didn't work. They immediately got another one out to me in just a few days. Great product. I would definitely purchase again! Works for both Dualsense and Dualsense Edge!! Read more

Does add small amount of weight. Fatigue will set in but easy to adjust to.

This is a great buy for those longer than normal gaming sessions. Works well with 1st party PS5 controllers. Easy to install, easy to charge while attached or if you don’t want the cable drag and battery capacity is good. Makes the dual sense edge go an extra few hours depending on settings of the controller. Read more

Highly recommended for DualSense, not so much for DualSense Edge.

Got these battery packs to take wires and charging docks out of the equation for my DualSense controllers. I found both methods of charging, if I were using the controller at that moment, to be largely inconvenient. Especially in the middle of an extended gaming session. I own both the DualSense and DualSense Edge so I was able to test these battery packs with both types of controllers. First, a bit of general information: I bought the 2 pack in white. These battery packs had an earlier iteration sold by the same vendor in black, however their construction meant they could only be used with the DualSense Edge. (This older iteration had the branding Aolion, the newer iteration is Amazear branded. Check the one you get just to be safe!) This one is a revised model that can work with both, thanks to a detachable clip that can "flip" to whatever type of controller you are charging: Flip the clip to the outside of the pack for a DualSense, keep the clip on the inside of the pack for a DualSense Edge. A very nice design change, and one that I feel nets bonus points for it's simplicity. There are four charge status lights that remain illuminated at the top of the controller and in plain view to let you know how much charge remains in the battery pack itself. You can also view the charge without connecting it to anything by pressing a button on top the pack itself and it will display it's charge level. While each of these packs come with manuals and a USB-C to C cable, it came with another nice little bonus, a third cable: a USB-A to C three way cable, capable of charging three things at once from a single port. Those devices don't necessarily have to be these batteries either, but it definitely helps if you want to charge both simultaneously and leave ports open. The batteries are listed as a rating of 3000mAh, which tracks with my testing, somewhat. Now onto each controller and how they worked. For the DualSense: Absolutely great. When I received a low battery warning, I attached the battery pack and it began charging and maintaining it's power level. After roughly two and a half hours it had fully charged, and the battery pack actually shut itself off to preserve it's own charge. There is a bit of weight to the battery, but this is to be expected. I did not find it uncomfortably weighty, but the DualSense itself is not a heavy controller. The DualSense battery is rated at 1560mAh, and according to the pack I drained approximately 60-75% of the charge. This fits as the controller was still in use while charging, and considering power conversion. The battery pack did not interfere at all with my gameplay or grip on the controller. The pack is held in place by a single small hook, that "grabs" the lip of the bottom of the controller shell. For the DualSense Edge: This is where things got interesting, confusing, and concerning all at once, especially considering the first iteration of this product was developed exclusively with the DualSense Edge in mind. Upon a low battery warning, attached the battery pack with the clip. The controller took roughly 2 hours to fully charge, down from the two and a half from the DualSense. This is also to be expected due to the DualSense Edge having a smaller battery rated at 1050mAh. Yet the charge indicator displayed the same: 60-75% charge drain on the battery. I attribute this to possible higher power usage from the extra features of the DualSense Edge, however a smaller battery should not have drained that much from a pack that weighs roughly half the controller's weight. Even further concerning is the way the pack clips onto the controller: by using the bottom contacts where charging can take place using a dock as an anchor. While the whole point is to be free of a dock, I worry about long term damage from anchoring it from those contacts as they may get damaged. Unfortunately I also felt my grip being interfered with, due to the existence of the back buttons in the DualSense Edge. The classic paddle design will work just fine with this pack, but the half dome design sits too close to the battery pack, making it difficult at times to hit these buttons if you need them. In both button configurations I found my floating fingers tagging the battery pack itself. The DualSense Edge is also naturally heavier, and attaching this pack to it further added to that weight, making it one of the heaviest controller configurations I have ever held. There is also one other thing that nets negative points, though you may not find this at all a problem depending on how you use your controller: On both controllers, there are two holes on the rear: One is a reset hole, and the other is for the controller's microphone noise cancellation. This battery pack partially covers these holes on the DualSense, and completely on the DualSense Edge. If you use the microphone on the controller, I can't guarantee audio quality if you use this pack, nor was I able to test it. Overall, I found this pack to be more useful with a standard controller than the upgraded one. The price could be a little lower if you're only able to get perhaps one and a half charges out of each. But the fact that the manuals are well explained and they include a bonus cable makes up for the higher price point. I can safely recommend this for a DualSense, but if you intend to use this for a DualSense Edge exclusively, this isn't shabby, but I strongly believe you could find better. Read more

They fit great even with my silicone covers and it solved the loose charging port problem I had. It takes roughly half of the charge to fully recharge the controller. I’ll never have to direct cable charge again. 👍👍 Read more
