I've tried a lot of calcium tablets/capsules over the years and this one seems to be the best. The capsules are pretty large, but they are soft and easy to swallow. I have difficulty swallowing hard tablets that size, but these soft capsules go down as quickly as a small tablet. The benefits of having Vit. D3 takes care of two things at the same time. The pills are quite large, I had a difficult time swallowing them. I am only taking one a day. I put it in my oatmeal in the morning and it did dissolve with no bitter taste. That is what I will do, dissolve it in something. Read more

You need to take TWO pills to get the advertised doseage, which is a little bit of bait and switch, as the mgs on the bottle imply each pill contains that amount, so it is only worth half of the bottle to get those amounts daily. Still, it leaves no aftertaste and, though large, I can swallow them with a LOT of water. These pills are NOT small. They are needed to treat osteoporosis and possibly prevent it if you don;t yet have it but are a candidate for getting the ailment. Easy on the stomach if taken with a slice of bread or other food. I've been told to take calcium supplements, at least 1200 mg/daily. Take one of these in the am, the second in the pm. Never have had any issue with swallowing. LOVE that they are softgels,; they slip right down. No chalky taste, which really turned me off on calcium a few years ago.
