Pretty nice unit , requires assembly - and the instructions are a little blur and confusing - but with common sense it’s a straight forward task with no tools required- Nice and strong and for me it fit right into the 3’ closet - so it’s a winner Read more

Love this purchase, would purchase again. Easy to assemble nice a sturdy Read more
My wife hang dries some of her clothes because they would get ruined in a dryer. We purchased a cheaper rack, which met out immediate needs, but it would come apart if you tried moving it. As a stationary solution that one works. However, we needed a rack that we could roll into the bathroom for drying clothes, then roll it back into the garage between uses. This is perfect. Assembly was easy because I had assembled shelving that was based on the same design in the past. It is very sturdy, but it is a bit on the top-heavy side and can tip when moving it with the top rack filled up. Since ours is stationary when loaded, and empty when it's wheeled to the garage after use that is not an issue for us. One thing I wanted was to add another shelf. My existing shelf system from another brand will not work due to size differences and support pole diameters. I have found shelves that do meet the length and width dimensions, but the diameters of the holes through which the support poles go were questionable. I subtracted a star for that because there is no way that I can find to add more functionality to the rack, which should be easy due to the modular design of it. Read more

I bought these as my current room doesn't have a closet. I have two of these now and I couldn't be happier. I have had the cheaper versions before from stores like Walmart, but they always broke or fell over because of the weight. I have one of these stocked completely full. The clothes are on the slim hangers, and I don't think I could fit another one on if I wanted to. (Based on how many hangers I have purchased, there are about 110 of the slim velvet hangers with shirts and dresses on this currently) I also have my extra sheets, belts, etc. in baskets on the top and bottom shelves and I haven't had any problems with tipping, nothing has broken or come loose. It is very sturdy and holds a surprising amount of stuff for the amount of space it takes up. I also got some large plastic-coated S-Hooks, which I hooked on the top shelf on the sides, and have jackets, backpacks, and a 'scarf' hanger full of leggings hooked onto the rack with those. Still no problems with breaking or tipping. I've had one like this for about 4 months now, so it seems to be promising. I ended up buying a second for the overflow, and it is just the same quality as the first. They are very simple to put together, you can do it alone, but it goes much faster with a second person. The instructions are pretty clear, and it comes with everything you need to put it together (no need to have your own tools) and there are a few extra pieces in case you lose one, or it were to break. Very worth it for the price. Read more

Watch out, not the same as a brand name product. I am writing this review in case there is someone else like me, who mistook it for the original brand name storage unit. I have bought two wire racks that were done the same way as this one over a decade ago. They served me very well: held heavy weights, been through several moves and still look like new. The brand name was Serville classics. The parts from different shelves were interchangeable and 2 different shelves could be put together as they were made of the same elements. That is why I decided to get the same kind of shelf. I did not realize that since then many other companies started making the same looking storage units that aren't compatible with the original brand name ones. I bought this garment rack not realizing that it's not the same thing as Serville (my mistake not paying enough attention!) When the garment rack arrived, it looked like a cheap copy of my previous shelves. It seemed to have the same design, but the quality of the materials was much lower. The rack was covered in tiny marks and manufacturing defects and got pretty scratched after being put together and used for a couple of days. My metal hangers make terrible sound when you slide them on the bar. I have to put only plastic hangers on it. The plastic parts of the rack do not clip on tightly like on Serville products. It took a long time and I hurt myself pretty bad putting the rack together. It is not physically easy to put it together alone. Expect to use second person's help. The shelf seemed pretty sturdy once I put it together. However, I never put more than a few sweaters and a couple of hand bags on it, so I can't say for sure. I like that the rack has some flexibility and I was able to install one of the shelves in the middle other than in the bottom like in the picture. Overall, it is a pretty good purchase, but it is nothing like the original brand name shelf. It is good enough for the walk in closet, where I keep it, but I would not put it anywhere as a furniture piece. Read more
