These paper plates are very strong. Just helps them be very sturdy when you have food on them. I hate the flimsy paper plates where you have to double up in order to have a good hold on your food. I wasn't expecting much from these paper plates considering the reasonable price. I was surprised and pleased by how thick and sturdy they are. I've always purchased Chinet from my local big box store, but they have gotten quite pricey. These are not as strong, but are a great alternative.
