My daughter is very tall so it is difficult to find skirts and jumpers that are at, or just above, the knee. She typically wears a size 10-12 in youth so we went with the 12 (XL). It hits her right at the knee so she will be able to wear this all year long. The buttons are a nice decorative touch. I've already washed it once and there is no pilling, shrinking, or snags.
