Amazon Essentials Mens Low Stretch Slim-Fit Bootcut Jean

Amazon Essentials products are well made and just as high quality as other similar products, yet usually at a more affordable price. This holds true for my new black jeans. They seem to fit true to size. They are made with a small amount of Elastene so if you are in between sizes, you might want to go with the smaller size as they do slightly stretch and give you more flexibility with sizing. As with most jeans, they do also stretch a bit after wearing them. While wearing them to a nice restaurant tonight, I noticed that they also have a bit more give when you are bending your knee, for instance to get into the car. I don’t think I have ever had jeans that slightly stretch as that is a definite plus for them. Additionally, they are probably the smoothest feeling jeans I have ever owned. I definitely prefer clothes that are mostly cotton, which these are. But they also have such a soft feel to them, which makes them more comfortable than and not as rough as typical jeans. My whole life, my dad has had a really hard time finding his jean size, and when he does, sometimes even that doesn’t fit right. I was thrilled to find these in his size, and thought I would give it a shot as a little surprise for him because he works so hard and I rarely get to see him. I got rave reviews. He said they fit perfect and are awesome. He said he had just gotten some from a local store that he was going to try on at home, and of course they didn’t fit right even though they were in his size. So he was all bummed about having to go return them, and come home empty-handed again still in need of a pair that fits right, but the very next day he received the Amazon package from me and he said he is relieved and thankful. So big ups to Amazon brand for their sizing in men’s jeans I suppose lol. This review is for the Amazon Essentials Men's Low Stretch Slim-Fit Bootcut Jeans. I ordered the Stone Medium Wash style in the size 40x30. I'm around 200 lbs and 5'11". The jeans are 99% cotton, which made me think they would shrink quite a bit, but after the first wash it didn’t appear they shrunk at all. Being primarily cotton, they are definitely subject to getting wrinkled fairly easily. They are well made and seem to be true-to-size. I have a thicker mid section (hips and butt) so I typically order a larger waist, but that ends up with overly loose fit legs. The 40 waist was probably a bit too big in these jeans as it turns out, but size 38 would have likely been too small. It’s too bad size 39 wasn’t a bit more popular. Overall, this is a good pair of jeans that will definitely get some use. I think the price is right and the quality matches the price. I recommend. 4/5 stars. Read more

My husband is usually pretty hard to impress when it comes to jeans, but these Amazon Essentials Men’s Low Stretch Slim-Fit Bootcut Jeans earned a solid 5-star, husband-approved rating. He wears a 34W x 30L and the sizing was spot on. One of his biggest frustrations is finding jeans that fit well without being overly baggy in the legs, and these hit that sweet spot. They have a nice slim look without feeling tight or uncomfortable. When he first tried them on they were a little stiff, but after one wash they softened up nicely. Even better, they held their shape well—no shrinking and no wrinkling like some jeans tend to do. I also did a little “laundry test” just to see if the color would bleed or fade. I washed them separately in cold water with a white rag and was happy to see there was no fading at all, which is always a good sign with darker denim. Overall, no complaints here. I really like that the amount of stretch in these jeans is minimal. Lately, it seems more and more folks are adding spandex to their denim and it's actually making it tougher to know the right size to buy because of how much those jeans stretch out when you wear them. That said, I don't understand the point of making boot-cut jeans that are cut so slim through the calf... if you have any definition in your lower legs whatsoever, you're not going to be able to wear boots with these— they're just too snug. You may be able to get away with Chealsea boots, but definitely not proper cowboy boots. It's just too tight a fit and the jeans look really odd. The jeans have a mid-to high rise on the waist. I generally prefer a low-rise waist, but overall the fit is good (apart from the calves). The denim also has a nice weight to it. Read more

Great jeans! They're well constructed with solid stitching and a comfortable fit. These are true to size although they feel a little "short" in the crotch inseam area so if you're long waisted they may not fit in the waist as comfortably without some "rear" pull when you bend over. The material is a little stretchy and not stiff at all. The pockets are located in a fully front position and could be a little deeper. The material seems pretty durable. We got the black ones and following laundering instructions the dye doesn't bleed and there's no shrinkage. Good value for the price. We'll purchase more and try one size bigger. Read more
