Omgooodness!!! These are sooo SO SO SO SOoooooooo adorbs, feminine and cute! They look like little golf shoes! Without those wicked spikes! Your little golf outfit goes greens too 19th hole without a problem! Pick yourself up a pair of these cute little oxfords and stay comfortable, airy and on top of your feet all day . I'm preparing for an overseas trip that will involve wandering through ancient cities. I thought these shoes would be a perfect shoe option that would go with dresses and slacks -- and not make me stand out as the typical white-shoed American tourist. Unfortunately these Amazon Essentials Women's Knit Oxford dress sneakers did not live up to expectations. The uppers do look classy - and if my review were based on looks alone, they would be rated much higher. However they are deficient in a number of important areas: * Fit: I typically wear an 8.5 in sneakers, and this size was also Amazon's recommendation based on past orders. They are way too large, both in length and width. My heel slips, even with thick socks. * Foam padded insole? Nope, no padding here. Basic, flat shoe, with a feel I'd expect from an old-time oxford (i.e., flat and hard.) * Sole - this is a molded plastic/rubber type of material that has very little traction. I have luxury vinyl flooring in my home - I felt like I was going to slip and walked very gingerly as a result. These definitely won't do for wandering cobblestone streets at my holiday destination - especially if it would happen to rain. (Perhaps they will roughen up with time?) These shoes have a nice stylish look to them. They definitely lean more “sharp casual” than sporty. The upper material is flexible and comfortable, and they fit nicely around the ankle. They feel snug without being too tight. That said, I wouldn’t recommend them for wide feet. It’s kind of hard to describe the exact texture of the upper material, so I included some close-up photos so you can see what I mean. The material feels light and breathable, while the tongue and heel pull tab have more of a pleather-type finish. The sole is very solid and firm, not flexible like a typical tennis shoe. Because of that, they make a noticeable tapping sound on hard floors (think more dress shoe than sneaker). When I first started wearing them, it felt like my foot might slip out slightly with each step, and I was a little concerned about possible rubbing or blisters. After wearing them around a bit, though, I adjusted and they became more comfortable. They seem well made and look great on. I wear an 8.5, and they fit true to size, no extra room and no cramped toes. One thing to note: there is no built-in arch support. I have high arches and use inserts in most of my shoes anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal for me, but if you need support, plan on adding an insole. For the price, I think they are a solid option for a casual dress shoe. Overall, they are stylish, polished, and definitely more dressy than athletic in both feel and function, great for when you want to look put together without going full formal. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I really love the style of these shoes. They have a vintage oxford look to them. They fit very comfortably, and the color is that of bone or vanilla ice cream. I have wide feet and ordered a size 8 with no issues. These have a nice stretch too, like a sock or glove. And they are lightweight… HOWEVER, it is important to note that they are loud dress shoes. Walking around, especially on hard floors, they kind of sound like thick platform heels. The soles are made of hard plastic. Most likely to give solid structure and create the dress shoe look, but it’s definitely something to be aware of. Disregarding the sound, the sleek style and color of them absolutely win me over. I have always loved the way men’s Oxford shoes look, so I was really happy to find these for women. Hoping I can wear these somewhere!!
