These are great basic yoga/pilates socks that are a little thinner than majority pilates socks but they hold on the calf very well. I have smaller calves and these did dig into my calf a lot more easily than others do so I would say to be wary if you have slightly thicker calves because these may feel a bit tight. I’m sure with some stretching though, they would do a bit better in feeling more comfortable, however it may affect the hold. The grips on the bottom are good, they’re not obnoxious to where you can feel each one of them when you walk on harder flooring but they have enough grip on them to have better traction for pilates/yoga on mats or floors. Overall for the price of these, these are well worth the value so long as you don’t mind the snugness at the top on your calf. These Amazon Essentials Women's grip socks are light, but warm and very comfortable and come in a variety of colors. Wasn't sure if I would like the grippers on the bottom, but they provide a lot of protection from slipping on the marble flooring throughout the first level of our house. My wife was worried that she would not be able to easily get her feet in and out of her slippers with the grippers on the bottom, but she was able to slip her foot in and out of it with ease. Lightweight socks, fit well but they're a bit snug in the calf. The grippy part is more subtle than the slipper sock lounge types usually have. The grips are small and in even rows. They do make contact with the right places, but they look more subtle than the thick white gripppy material. The grips also seem like a different material, seems like it will last longer than the white "puff paint" style ones that flake and tear. Read more
These are better made than I expected. There are no loose strings or unfinished seams. The stripes around the ankle line up all the way around the sock. The grips on the bottoms seem attached/fused well and are ergonomically placed to give you a great grip of the floor. 4 pairs of socks for this price is excellent. I do think these are a bit tight in the calf. I'm a slight, low-BMI woman and these are still pretty snug. I've had compression socks that were more forgiving than these. So if you have large calves, you might want to pass on these. Otherwise, just be prepared for a snug fit. Read more
These socks have exceeded my expectations. I have worn them multiple times and washed it after each wear. They still look like new. They have a medium thickness to it, which works well so that my shoes still fit. The color is a bright white. The stripe going across is well defined. I have worn it by pulling it up and I’ve also tried scrunching it a little bit. It looks great both ways. The rubber grips are really great because it gives me more than enough traction so that I don’t slip. Even after all the washes they have been through, the rubber grips still look like new. Amazon Essentials Women's Non-Slip Pilates Crew Socks with Grips, 4 Pairs, Black, 8-12. I got these socks because I like the non-slip nature of these socks. I basically wear them around the house and not worry about slipping on my hardwood floors or stairs. They are comfortable, but I chose the larger size because I was in between the two sizes. They are a bit big for my feet (women's size 8), but not too big that it doesn't fit. I think the smaller size would maybe fit a little bit better for me. Good quality and value. Read more
These Amazon Essentials Pilates socks are good for any exercise that you do without wearing footwear. They have silicone (or similar) nubs on the bottoms to keep you from slipping. Although I prefer a slightly thicker sock, these crew socks are warm enough for most inside conditions. They stay up — no slouching here! I don't find these great for wearing under sneakers, although it can be done. Read more
These socks are so simple, yet so adorable with the varsity stripes! I got these for yoga since I’m not a fan of working out with bare feet. They’re very comfortable, have great grip, and fit well on women’s size 10 feet. I do have a wider calf, so my stripes were a bit stretched out, but it didn’t look too bad. Read more
